oh how purty. I have a red betta, and his darling name is Chronos! I wuv him to bits. He flares at pretty much anything and everything. ^^ I got him to swim in a circle when I have my hand over the water, he knows and wants his hikari gold.

my one male betta
hes a crazy thing
hes in his own little home and i have to be VERY careful when i feed him
he gets so excited he jumps out the tank and i have to go crawling around to pick him up and put him back in the water

thank you. my mom calls him the upside down fish? i guess he looks that way to her? i never saw such a pretty betta before so i nabbed him. its so difficult to find anything REALLY different around here
how many do you have? :3
i have as many as i can have right now XD but i want to build a wall set up to hold betta later on when i get my own place
over the years i must have had over 50 betta? 1 spawning that didnt work because the male didnt care for the eggs. right now i have 18 betta
im trying to control myself and only buy betta that SCREAM bring me home XD

I moved my betta into the five gallon with three Rasboras and a left over white cloud. and a apple snail. X3 He has been really calm.

Nice to hear your betta's finally out of the vase speler.
That's a very pretty jumper you have there Skittles, but doesn't he tear his fins with all the fuss he makes?

he tears em up a little but not too bad
my fish are very well behaved in that if i pick em up they dont seem to really ever MOVE...so i dont have to fight too much with him
i'm to the point where i dont need a net to get them out of the tank
i can just scoop em up and move em with my hand and not have to worry about them ending up on the floor or back in the tank

I'm always afraid to touch my fish since I have quite long nails. I often keep them around 1 cm.
A few times my goldfish accidentally bit on my nails when suckling on my fingers, and I was always afraid I'd cut their mouths. My nails are sharp enough to cut through stuff such as thick plastic and bannana peals. :/

but
my nails are the same way. XD yours nails can cut that stuff because they are strong not necessarily because they are sharp (i can do that too) and mine are sometimes a bit long. i cut em though if one breaks or if they look ragged. i just know i am always VERY gentle with stuff like that. my bf refuses to add coral to his tank. I have to place everything XD the anemone liked me so much it actually stuck to my hand and i had to get it off and put it on the rock.
