A small head pop out of a window that was just big enough for her to fit though. The brown chihuahua carefully jumped down from the window and into the alley way. It was nice that her owner, Ava, always left the window opened a crack to make sure that Red had some fresh air, while she was away at work. Red use it as a way to leave the apartment, and explore the city. They had just move here from a small town not to far away. Red didn't mind it too much, except that Ava never had anytime to work on her project. Red trotted to the end of the alley way and onto the street. She kept to close to the buildings that line the sidewalk, to keep from being step on. The one thing that did bug her was that Ava was in a hurry today and had left her red cape on. She would just have to deal with it today. Her ears and eyes stayed alert, as she made her way along the street.

It was such a nice day!
He rose to his feet and made quite a fuss of clicking his claws on the tile floor of the kitchen in the small flat they shared and went to his dish, lapping up water and making as much noise as he could in the process. He stared into the plastic dishes' depths and snorted.
'I am sorry my Gretchen but it is too great a day to stay cooped up! I vill be back!' He thought before managing to pry open the door that lead to the fire escape. It was always loose on its hinges unless it was locked and had something propped against it. He made his way to the fire escape and slowly began to make his way down the stairs.
Once all four paws touched the pavement he started on his way wearing nothing more than a microchip in the scruff of his neck and his beloved red and gold striped scarf. His ears swivelled as he looked around.
A car drove by with the window rolled down. The old song reached his ears, begging to be enjoyed. He started to sing the words to the Beatles Song, 'Elanor Rigby' in his native tongue. German.

Red kept a easy pace as she weaved though the legs. When one car drove by, made her start growling. You can hear the music playing from inside. How can they listen to loud music, she wonder. Her brown eyes followed it as it drove away. Turning back, her eyes now scanned the other side of the road. She saw something small, wait was that another dog. Looking around she quickly found a safe place to cross the road, but that meant she crossed with a pack of humans. "Hello!" she called as she made her way over to Baron.

Baron trailed off mid-note and looked around. Once he caught sight of the long haired female he wove his way through the forest of legs to meet her half way. He gave a dip of his head, a soft smile on his face.
"Ah! Gutenmorgen, Fräulein!"
He greeted her, with a wag of his tail. He wouldn't bother to ask if she spoke German, as almost no one ever did, he found. "Vhat is such a pretty dog such as yourself doing out und about alone? Et is not safe!" He said, maroon eyes lighting with concern.
"How rude of me! Traurig! I am called ze Red Baron...but everyone calls me Baron. Et es a pleasure to meet you."

Her head leaned to one side, when he said something she couldn't understand, but then he quickly started to talk in a language she knew. Red had to carefully listen to what he was saying, to much sure she understood him correctly. Once he was done, she took a chance to look him over now that they were next to each other. Since he was small she at first he was a puppy, but in fact it was another chihuahua. I don't usually see many other chihuahuas, she thought. Throwing back her head, the hood of her cape came off.
"I'm Red," she replied. "I just like to explore the city when my owner is away at work. And I can take care of myself, Baron." She hates it when others think she is weak, just because she is small. It made it worst still he was the same breed as her, thinking that he would know better.

"Et is a pleasure to meet you, Red." Baron said with a nod of his head. At her last statement he took in the one of her voice. "Ah, do not misunderstand me, et isn't safe for anyvone of our size to be out und about alone, really. Vhy, I nearly got stepped on zeh-ten times und I was vas being quite careful. There are saftey in numbers, afterall. I certainly hope that you do not find me in ill favour, I really meant nothing by it." He said apologetically, his ears going back ever so slightly to denote his sincerity.
The male glanced at their surroundings. He hadn't been out very much by himself yet, but he knew a few good places to go around this time of day.

Her ear flicked as she contemplated over what Baron had said, plus she took note that he did seem sincere. "I like to think that our sizes make as a harder target to hit," she told him, giving him a toothy grin. "But I guess you are right, it is safer in numbers."
Her brown eyes notice that his bright purple ones took in their surroundings. "Were are you heading? I might want to join you, because it will be safer for us to be with others. Plus it is more fun to be with someone else."

"I vas going to go to a meat-market. Ze owner knows me und is quite generous." He beamed. "But after zat...I'm not so sure...I vas contemplating ze park und chasing pigeons." Baron told her, hoping she wouldn't find his 'pigeon chasing' to be stupid.
"Vould you like to come vith me?" He asked, canting his head slightly.

Her tail started wagging at hearing the meat market, it made her even more happy to heard that they might be able to get some food, too. "Who wouldn't want to go to the meat market," she replied, thinking about it. She had only really been there once, but she can still remember all the smells from all kinds of meats. She licked her lips at the thought of being able to taste it.
Baron had also said something about the park. Early she was also thinking about heading to the park today, too. The only difference was that she was thinking about going there to chase squirrels, not pigeons. "I'm also up to going to the park, though I normal chase the squirrels. So, just lead the way Baron, and I will follow you."
