Kiana twitched her nose rather irritatedly. She enjoyed being in charge here, but she noticed that she was losing slightly the upper hand for the thread of the conversation was very soon to be lost and she would be resulted with boredom once again with the other pala enjoying himself among the Garden. She twisted a stread of her curly brown hair around and around as she thought. There had to be a way to keep a conversation that the other pala would perhaps enjoy. Not like she particularally care about what he felt, but happy palas were more conversationable whereas annoyed ones were just that, annoyed. And she wasn't in the exact mood to talk to any annoyed palas for she had enough of the company of one at home. Kafei was more than enough for her today. Perhaps the other pala already thought that she was odd with all her emphasis on Christmas, but it wasn't everyday that there was somebody who didn't know about the holiday and didn't enjoy it the slightest when he heard about it. The insult bugged her a little.
As the little pink pala spun around for ideas for conversation, her emerald green eyes traveled around the Garden once more. Suddenly, her eyes seemed to catch an object with bright colors. It looked almost like a bird in flight. Aedyn seemed to hold it in his hands. She blinked, the bird of paradise seemed to be attached to him just like the bright yellow flower on top of her own head. She smiled enjoyably as she looked at the plant curiously,"That bird of paradise is beautiful though it is needless that I say it for there is no doubt that you already know. I just love how birds of paradise look just like a tropical bird in flight, ready to fly, far far away into the endless blue sky. Though no doubt that is how it got its name."

Now that her idle chatter had moved onto the Garden, a more pleasing topic by far, Aedyn was inclined to pay the tiniest bit more of attention to her. It was eccentric though, almost as if she was speaking to speak. The voice she now used sounded far off and not hers. Poetic. A fake. The way she went on endlessly about it was just a hidden plea for his attention and happiness, which he quickly saw right through. Or perhaps he was over thinking it. It mattered not; she was becoming less and less enjoyable by the moment and he wanted her gone from his Garden. It was intolerable.
However, he nodded calmly, refusing to look at her and give her the proper time of day. This held out for a moment before he felt the inevitable swelling of pride in his chest. Fake or not, she had had to pay attention to say it. And she was complimenting him! What a lovely thing! Annoying though she was, and though he didn't need them, it didn't mean he protested being doted upon. Pretty things for pretty people, that was what he liked.
"Actually, the flower is named after it's resemblance to an actual bird that is called the Bird of Paradise. There are places that actually call it the Crane Flower rather than Bird of Paradise. Either way, it resembles a bird's looks, not what it does. In fact, the Bird of Paradise is a rather ugly thing, crow-like with mostly brown feathers," Aedyn lectured matter-of-factly, turning to give the other a sweet smile as he caressed his flower, obviously still pleased by the compliment. "But yes... the flower is beautiful. Thank you."

A slight frown crossed Kiana's face despite her efforts to surpress it as she noticed that the other pala had seen through her act. What a pity, there was no chance of holding a decent conversation with the relevation. From the look and posture the other pala was, he was thinking less of her by the second. How bothersome, people who didn't think of her highly were not fit to be her friend. Though it would be nice to call this pala in front of her a friend, no doubt if he had succumbed, he would be more like a tool to make her life more enjoyable, it did not particularally matter after all. It was now simple...an anquiantance. She paused, yes, and anquiantance he shall be. And now that he had lost the chance of her friendship, the little pink pala's newfound irriation seemed to urge her to annoy the pala in front of her as much as possible.
It was a pity that Cassiela wasn't here to keep her company, but the light blue pala had said that she didn't want to come because it was freezing cold and she didn't see much in a garden anyway no matter how beauitful it was. After all, according to the Cassiela, plants were just plants. But Kiana thought differently, and had decided to come anyway despite the freezing cold. Yet she missed Cassiela's company now, it would be interesting to see how she and this Aedyn could get along. No doubt they would be at complete loggerheads since Cassiela seemed to not care whatsoever about delicacy and criticized his behavior, attitude, whatever right up front. It would have been interesting to watch.
Yet the game of deception had already begun, so why stop it? Though Kiana still hadn't mastered the art of insulting othere palas without them knowing it which Cassiela had, the little pink pala still had a mind to continue the conversation as long as possible. After all, it would be quite an interesting challange to her rheotric skills, perhaps there was a chance that this pala would be her a friend yet. Her irritation flew from her mind as quickly as it came,"How interesting, I never knew that." She paused and mused,"But it is often said that all that matters is inner beauty not the outer. Though the Bird of Paradise might be ugly, it is still a creature of this world."
