Fira saw Kazu break the surface of the water after flailing about, a few bubbles escaped her nose as she tried hard not to laugh. The water felt absolutely magnificent when she was submerged, like nothing she had ever felt before. She could see everything in clear detail, the rocky bottom to the endless blue stretching out before her. She kicked her feet out at the water and paddled her hands through it, amazed when she ended up traveling farther than she thought she would.
She tried it again, pushing back the water with her hands. She went even farther this time, the bottom was dropping out until all she could see was black. Her lungs weren't burning like they did when she held her breath on land, she let the last few bubbles escape from her nose, and still felt no discomfort. Above her she could see the sunlight dancing on the surface of the water, though she made no move to go back up.

Kazu paddled back to shore, stepping out of the water and looking back. There was no sign of Fira. "Must be pretty far down..." He chuckled, pulling off his top. It was too difficult to swim in it, that, and he had to let it dry, at least a bit. He pulled it off fully, lying down to dry, then did the same with his trousers. His body was even whiter than his face, if that was possible, and etch with scars and bruises, from what, even Kazu didn't know.
He waded back into the water, now just wearing his underwear, and dived down, glancing about for Fira.
