All right, so let's say that somebody has 180 dollars Now, if they are using the money to buy supplies to manufacture a product, that they were going to sell. Now, there are six items that this person has to buy. Each item costs 29 dollars, and they use 100% of product 1, 21% of product 2, 7% of products 3, 5, and 6, and 57% of product 4. You can only buy the products in whole amounts, that is, in 100% intervals. How would you figure out how much of each product you should buy? I was thinking linear programming, but it seems that this is kinda complex for that...

If each of the components costs $29 and there is only $180 to spend, obviously only one of each component should be bought. Six components at $29 each comes to $174, so there is no need for any more than that.
Unless there is a need to do many of this type of problem, the guess-and-check method is best.
