The Snow Princess' Sorrow
Description: On the very last day of Fall, the princess of the Snow clan, Yamada Yuki, was to be married to the Prince of Winter, Fuyu Tenjou. All the preparations were ready, so when the clock struck 12:00 midnight, the Prince Tenjou will take Princess Yuki to be his wife. As everyone rushed around the mansion to make final touches, Princess Yuki was in her room with the maids who helped her dress and get ready for the wedding. Her hair as silver as the graceful moon light on a dark day, her dark gray eyes; beautiful yet mysterious like clouds on a rainy day. Her white ,silk dress fluttered like the wings of a beautiful dove as her head dress and veil shine with the glory and pride of being in the Snow clan. When you look at her, its like looking at an angel that has fallen from heaven, just like the snow of a cold winter day. When the clock struck midnight, everyone waited with the Princess for the Prince Tenjou's arrival. Soon the seconds turned to minutes, the minutes turned to days, and the days turned to months. With each passing day, she grew a little more pale, she pride and glory also faded a little, still no word from the Prince. It is now almost Spring, the snow has melted, the wind has weakened, life is slowly awakening its slumber. On the final day of winter, Princess Yuki shed a icy, silver tear, her body turned cold, her dark gray eyes hardened, then shattered as she took her last breath in her wedding dress, yet still the Prince never showed up.
From that day on, when winter came, the winds blew harshly to remind everyone of Princess Yuki's patience, the clouds, moon, and sky turned dark to mourn for her death. Yet as winter became very bitter and harsh, snow would fall so gently, gracefully, and beautiful, just like Princess Yuki, as a reminder of her kindness and beauty, even though she suffered an unnecessary death. Her spirit, soul, and sorrow remained with the Snow clan and winter forever.
