-Kuasta Port-
The only oasis in Farthen-Dur, Kuasta has always proven to be the safest port for ship to dock. Despite this safety Kuasta is still the second large port. It is, however, a very small port. While the Oasis is beautiful it is not every deep. Majority of transport ships are far too heavy and sail to deep in the water to use Kuasta port. Kuasta literally means “Beautiful Oasis” in the dwarf’s language.
Kuasta is only about six hundred years making it relatively new before the war. Kuasta was one of the few places that survived the King’s destruction of Farthen-Dur. To this day you can see the straw houses that litter the beach and solid stone buildings that line the docks. Kuasta is another one of the settlements that have been greatly expanded. A long sandy white beach lines the coast on the western side of The Spire. This beach was called Kosciec by the elves that used to live in the region before moving to the forest when people began to expand out. Kuasta is the only town lies along the beach that grants access to it for its inhabitants.
Kuasta is Farthen-Dur supplier of all things related to the sea. Most of the inhabitants spend the majority them time out on small boats trying get whatever they can for money. New species have made the oasis their home and have become Kuasta most famous foods that rarely are found elsewhere. Two hundred years ago the lobster, the crab, and the shrimp moved in from the sea. These three critters have been seen previous before the war and actually caught but they were found around Shark Tooth Island. However, the island now possesses dangerous whirlpools and fast moving currents that have slammed ship into razor sharp rocks.
Kuasta is run by the governor of Teirm. Seen mostly as an extension of the greater Teirm port and not a very far trip back and forth, the two ports became sisters nearly three hundred years ago. Though when the new sea life enter Kuasta inhabitants had been striving for their own freedom and wish to pull away from Teirm. The governor, Rowan, had been running the two ports for thirty years now.
