-Dras-Leona-
This is the largest settlement in all of Farthen-Dur, the Capital. Here a vast amount of the Farthen-Dur people live and were the majority of travelers visits frequently. Dras-Leona is also home to Dartona, Queen of Farthen-Dur. Sitting on the edge of Lake Leona, Dras-Leona is smack dab in the middle of one of the busiest transports rivers, the Toark and Jiet that both flow into Lake Leona. Because of this, Dras-Leona possesses a medium size port that sits in Leona Lake able to harbor the small transport vassals that comes through the transport route. This also makes Dras-Leona a resting point on the route as well. Dras-Leona is a far bigger version of the Bullridge Trading Outpost.
Inns line the port edge to house crews and captains of the transport ship that take rest in the Capital. Stands and shops full of merchandises full the heart of the city surrounding the Queen’s Castle. On the outer edge of the city, just before wall, is filled with home for the residents of Dras-Leona. The mighty castle that is home to the Queen, ruler of all Farthen-Dur that resides and relates to it, rests in the very heart of Dras-Leona. Up in the single tower that looms over the city, it shadow reaching all the way to walls that surrounded city, you can see Helgrind off is distance. Many use the shadow the tower creates as a watch to tell time as the sun rises and sets.
Queen Dartona has ruled Farthen-Dur for nearly sixty years, now a woman of eighty years old. Only known to her now, her family was chosen by the Dragon Riders and the leaders of Varden to run the lands. She has no legitimate heirs to take her place when she passes on. Her husband and only son were making the trip to Hedarth to keep up relations between the only two areas that still remember the old ways. The two never made it to Hedarth. Her main objective now is to insure that the next ruler will be safe enough to keep the tasks of keep the knowledge she guards and to be a true ruler of justice and peace. She has yet to find one of such virtue.
Oddly, Dras-Leona is the oldest settlement according to this history books. Many believed that it would be impossible to cross The Spire over a thousand years ago. Some also find it hard to believe that our ancestor came from the heart of Farthen-Dur; they still believe that the Desert, Forest, and Mountain were not travelable back then as well. There also believers that believe we did not come from sea either. However some scholars tell stories of the Dragon Riders helping the people to Farthen-Dur long ago. Not believing in Dragon Rider many don’t believe in that possibly either.
