 ~  Zini and his twin had elected to see how life was like without their mirrored sibling coming along side. It had been tough on the both of them. Having been so close for so long, the idea of not seeing each other every day was a little frightening. More so for Tamsyn it appeared when they first went their separate ways. There were tears and promises of reunions not just from his twin sister. He felt a little lost and bewildered at being so alone, but that feeling abated slightly when he came across an old friend of his mother's, a Chi'lin named Kaen. The two males had been traversing for a while now and their relationship sort of evolved from a familial one to one more resembling that of a student and a teacher. Kaen had travelled all over and experienced much. Zini was always eager to learn more and discover himself as an adult. At present, the pair had slowed in their comings and goings to rest and gather their strength for a time in one of the less dense portions of the jungles of sleep. Kaen had waded ankle deep into a stream of water and was quenching his thirst while listening for what Zini was doing around him. Zini had perched himself at the top of a nearby tree and was watching the sun begin its slow descent behind the horizon and how its rays caused the distant sea to glisten and shine in hues of silver and gold.

 The tan and brown colored painter had been traveling around with her similarly colored mimicgryph throughout the day across the continent of Hal'ia.
"Florica, I'm getting a bit tired and parched..."
The mimicgyrph spoke up whilst soaring along with his larger companion.
"All right Besnik, let's stop for a break then."
Florica began to descend while over the Jungles of Sleep. She landed next to a clear stream and began to take a long drink. After such a long flight, she barely even realized how tired she actually was. Traveling was one of her favorite things to do, and normally she would get so enthralled with the freedom of the skies she would forget her own well-being. Besnik landed slowly afterward and followed her example. The tan painter stepped into the stream and cooled herself off.

Piercing dark gold eyes opened and turned to the sounds of another Painter landing nearby and stepping into the stream. Kaen lifted his head and quickly assessed that the new arrival posed no serious threat to him or his travelling companion who at the moment was still in the tree tops. The Chi'Lin knew very well that Zini was missing having a female presence around since so much of his existance thus far had been strongly involving his mother and six sisters. Outwardly, the wayward twin appeared to be taking just having a older Chi'lin around in stride, but Kaen heard what he mumbled in his sleep. The charcoal and firey maned male cleared his throat to both announce the female and her familiar's presence to the male in the trees, but to announce himself to her. Kaen dipped his head in greeting to the tan and brown female. "Hello there. You certainly are a welcome surprise. My name is Kaen. Might I ask who I am speaking with?"
Zini heard his uncle/teacher clear his throat and begin speaking below which attracted his attention as it was definitely not to him. He had been enjoying the warmth of the setting sun on his face and chest, but his curiousity was piqued with what was going on. With a beat of his wings, he was aloft and angled himself to land in the clearing somewhere behind the Chi'lin. The male folded his wings at his sides and strode up along side his companion, nodding in greeting to the female. He wouldn't say this outloud to Kaen, but she was a welcome sight for sore eyes.
Zini flashed a bit of a smile and bowed his head briefly. "How do, lady? What brings you out to the jungles of sleep? If you don't mind me asking, of course. Ah, my manner have apparently left me. My name is Zini Hassan, but everyone simply calls me Zini."

Florica initially did not notice the two when she first landed, so to hear them was quite startling. She raised her head quickly towards the two and relaxed a bit, realizing they were friendly company. She took a couple steps upstream and nodded her head in reply.
"Why hello there. My name is Florica. I am just a traveler that stopped for a drink from this stream and for a rest. And this is my small companion, Besnik."
Besnik hopped onto Florica's shoulder from the bank and made his presence known. They seemed like an odd traveling couple, especially to be found here in the jungle of sleep. She began to slowly step forward towards the two in hopes they were as friendly as she thought.

Kaen gave the female and her companion a small bow before wading out of the water and flicking some of the water from his tail at his 'nephew' with a soft chuckle. "It is nice to meet you both. We stopped for the same reasons you have. We've been travelling for several days now and have taken advantage of this clearing to take it easy for a bit. You're more than welcome to join us, you and your familiar."
Zini gave a bit of a laugh and moved out of the way of the spray of water droplets that were flicked at him. He snorted at his older companion before turning to the female. "Yes, please do join us. You'd be a welcome distraction from that old coot over there," He jokingly shot at his 'uncle'. It was true. The Chi'lin had a good couple hundred of years on him, but he ment his jesting in all good fun.

Florica walked up stream towards them and finally stopped to face them both. They still seemed like an odd couple to travel together, however they seemed to be fairly close as well. She has never seen a chi'lin before, and have never met one either. Kaen seemed to be a wise fellow with years to add to his wisom. She also has never met a male common painter before.
Florica looked over both of them and continued to smile pleasantly. They seemed like very good company, pleasant in fact. She admired the marking on Zini and looked to Kaen's mane. The only male she has ever made contact with was with Besnik, and he was not even close to her species. This was yet another exciting experience for her.
"It would be my... our pleasure to join you both."
Florica stepped out of the waters from the stream and stood in front of them both.

"Wonderful!" The younger of the pair chimed brightly. "I do hope that we prove to be entertaining company. I would hate for you to be bored." Zini gave a bit of a chuckle. "After all, you are the first breath of fresh air either of has gotten in a few weeks now."
Kaen lowered his head briefly to hide his grin and the roll of his eyes. Once that was out of the way the chi'lin raised his head with a serene smile. "You'll have to forgive my nephew. He's been missing the company of a female since he and his twin sister decided to see the world by themselves."
Zini had turned his head to gape at the older male. He huffed at him before pulling a grin onto his face. "Yes, my uncle is right about that. My twin and I elected to see the world through the eyes of a single Painter. That is part of the reason why I'm traveling with him. That and he knows so much about a lot of things. Who better to have around when one is trying to settle themselves on a path of life?" The common painter gave a slightly sheepish chuckle hoping he didn't sound too terribly young and inexperienced.
The charcoal and gold chi'lin strolled up to the younger male and gave him a light, teasing n** to the membrane between his horns then stuck out the very tip of his tongue. A 'no hard feelings' gesture of his. Kaen returned his attention to the tan and brown female. "Make yourself at home. We were intending to either stay here the night or going to see if there are any unclaimed caverns in the area that we can make a temporary place to keep ourselves out of the wind and weather."

"Well then good. You two are a relief from the usual company. Uh... No offense Besnik."
Florica smiled at them both and quickly looked at Besnik apologetically. After all, most of painters that Florica has met as been mainly female. Along with she has not seen another painter in what seemed like months.
"You have a twin Zini?"
Florica has never met twin painters before, nor has she met a chi'lin before. She sat down near them and continued to flash a warming smile. Then she looked over to Kaen.
"And I'd be more than willing to help find a bit of shelter. Though I don't mind sleeping under the stars."
Due to the fact that traveling was most of what Florica did, normally she didn't have time to find something majorly habitable. Though she did make regular relaxing stops along the beaches and jungle areas for some food which provided some forms of shelter. She twitched her tail occasionally as she awaited an overall decision.

Zini flashed a big smile and nodded proudly. "Indeed I do. Her markings are slightly different, but we're twins none the less. I'll have to introduce you to her some time. I imagine that she can't be all that far away." After a brief pause, his face half fell. "Er, well, I don't think she'd be thousands of miles away. I'd think I'd feel it." For a moment, the male's eyes drifted skyward as if searching for an answer to the implied half question that he posed of himself.
Kaen gave a little shake of a his and walked to Florica's side to both get a better look at her familiar, Besnik, and to chat and explain his and Zini's situation in a little greater detail whilst the younger of them seemed to have distracted himself. "Don't mind him. He sometimes gets himself worried over the well-being of his twin since they took off in seperate ways. The split was rough for the both of them. He'll be back to swooning over you momentarily. Don't worry." The chi'lin chuckled softly. "Nor do we usually, but twenty-five to thirty miles to the west there was a thick group of heavy looking clouds seemed to be forming and the wind has it heading this way. An extra pair of eyes is always appreciated."
At this point, Zini had shaken himself to clear his head and returned his gaze to Florica and his uncle. "Heh, we can start looking for a place now. Uncle doesn't like staying out in the event of lightning. When he was younger he had a bit of a run in with a Wyvern during a lightning storm. Of course, if you still feel like sleeping under the stars tonight after we find a place to avoid the nastiness that is heading this way, I'd be happy to keep you company."

Florica listened to Zini with her head cocked slightly to one side, until he drifted off then turned her attention to the elder of them. She chuckled at his comment, then looked to the sky to see the approaching clouds in the distance.
"All right then. Lets go ahead and search for somewhere to stay for tonight. And I would like that a lot Zini."
Florica blushed slightly at Zini's comment but quickly hopped up and smiled, her tail swinging back and forth lazily. She never really looked for somewhere to stay during the night, so there was a first time for everything.
Besnik, while still on her shoulders, jumped slightly at Florica's sudden movements. Giving the sandpainter a glare from behind her head, his gaze quickly turned to the chi'lin who was making his way over closer to them. Besnik was never one for trust at first sight.
