~Setting~
~This takes place in the world of Ioron, in the country of Avaria Which takes up 1/4th of all of Ioron and is home to most of the magickal beings that aren't directly creatures. (minotaurs for example, would not be common here. The Kingdom is Noreva, a very scholarly land focused on magickal learning and the famous Magickal Tournaments, held once a year to test magick and skills. The land is old-fashioned, it has kingdoms and forests and towns and whatnot~
~Summary~
By unknown means, sixteen year old X (Your character-give him a name), ends up with nine years of his twenty-one year old brother's age, leaving him with the body of a twenty-five year old man, and his brother with the body of an eleven year old child. Mathiel (the 21 year old turned 11) had been picking on his younger brother, about the fact that though he was sixteen, and he still looked like an undeveloped girl with his pretty, baby face. Their parents had died when X was fifteen, leaving him to take care of his then ten year old brother. Mathaiel used to be a devoted big brother, now all he is, is X's tormentor. Now however, everything is switched around, no one remembers X's older brother Mathaiel, but they all remember his younger brother Mathy. Likewise, no one remembers Mathaiel's younger brother X, but the older they remember just fine. Rooms have switched, clothes have switched, and even Mathaiel's job as a teacher at Kalrivthe School for the Magickal Arts belongs to X. Meanwhile, the only two people who remember things as they were are Y (your other character, give him a name) the apprentice of Mathaiel, and Rilym, X's best friend in all the world and fellow sixteen year old classmate at Kalrivthe.
~Prestory~
Mathaiel and X's parents died while they were young and Mathaiel did his best to support them both. With his great magickal talents and the general respect for their deceased parents, he managed and raised his little brother as best he could. They were close and each other's beloved siblings throughout their lives, until Mathaiel turned nineteen. He began to withdraw further into his studies and ignored the fourteen year old X. Mathaiel made sure that he never lacked anything, but he no longer played with X or confided in X and as the year went on, Mathaiel began treating him worse than most other older brothers. He teased him constantly about the fact that even though the other boys were developing, he was feminine and scrawny as a little girl. Mathaiel was X's teacher in three of X's seven classes, he'd made sure of it, and he was always rather hard on X, pushing him as he pushed no other. X didn't understand the sudden change in her brother and was naturally very hurt by Mathiael's seeming lack of love for him.
X took great comfort in his best friend, one who he'd known since he was three years old, Rilym. X has never thought of him as a possible lover, but nor has he thought of Rilym as a brother. He's simply always been there for X and he trusts him implicitly. X is the only one he can confide in about Mathaiel, and Rilym helps X readily. Unlike other boys, he never teased X for being less-than-manly in his appearance.
One night, the night before another regular day of school (or so X thought) he and Mathaiel got into an arguement. He was being patronizing as was now the usual, taunting X about his lack of growth and being such a child despite the fact he was a young man of sixteen. And then magick began swirling about, and when next the siblings looked at each other..instead of twenty-one year old Mathaiel looking down at his child-like, sixteen year old brother, X, a very developed man of twenty-five was looking down at Mathaiel, his now child brother of eleven. ~

~Important Information~
How the change occured will be revealed later. For now, everyone except Rilym and Y (to be explained shortly) believe that they are the ages they have always been. Mathaiel, who'd had the largest room in their house, now has the somewhat smaller room that had been occupied by X. This is easy to tell because of all of new objects in the bigger room, and the childish toys and decorations in the smaller room. All of Mathaiel's clothes are now those of a child's, while X's are all made for a man. He is now a teacher at Kalrivthe, and Rilym is in his Astronomy class. As for Mathaiel, X will aid Y (whom X views as a sort of brother) by giving Mathiael no alternative but to become Y's apprentice. He'll have no choice since X is the bigger one now and no one would believe the truth anyway.
Y, your other character, is Mathaiel's apprentice. When they first met, he'd saved Y's life from a group of young men who thought to make a quick fortune from Y's pockets. He'd needed a magickal mentor, and Mathaiel accepted the role as Y's teacher (in some ways: master) readily. For the first year and half, he was a kind and patient teacher, always quick to smile and laugh. He'd been seventeen then, and he'd been sixteen when they met. They were close for that year and a half, until he suddenly withdrew. He began being cold and often seemed annoyed by Y's very presence. Y was certain he was going to tell Y to leave (Y lives in the guest house a little ways off of Mathaiel and X's inherited manor) but he kept Y on as an apprentice and continued to teach him, albeit a bit coldly. He also began using Y as part of some of his experiments, once changing Y into a hawk for over a day, forcing Y to spend the night as a hawk inside of a cage. He was in no position to argue, and truth be told, he missed the old Mathaiel, his teacher and friend, and had nowhere else to go, so he didn't leave... When Y finds out about the change (he'll come to the house for a lesson after Mathaiel changes and find Mathaiel as a child) he should end up agreeing to be 'little Mathy's' teacher. X won't give Mathaiel a choice in the matter, using the opportunity of age switching for a little revenge. And besides that, he hopes Y and Mathaiel will get together. Although Y has never expressed any romantic interest in Mathaiel. (at least..out loud) ~
~Necessary plot points~
Eventually, being treated like a man will go to X's head a bit and at some point he should snub Rilym for being a 'child', and choose to go out with adults. In the end, someone (an adult) will try some funny business and it will be Rilym to the rescue. ~_^
At some point, at least once though more is always welcome (very welcome..*loves animal transformations*), X and, or Y, needs to turn Mathaiel into some type of animal. They'll be able to hear him speak and whatnot. Probably it should be Y, getting a little revenge by turning his 'apprentice' into something as Mathaiel had done to Y.
~The story will involve getting their ages righted again, falling in love, probably have a villian, and anything else we can come up with. <3~
