I just relallly really like the combination of shorts with pumps. and leggings. For some reason.
It's a boy, sort of even a self portrait, but since I don't want to seem self obsessive, it's a self character! ohoho.
But, my feet are too wide for pumps. Maybe I'll have one of my toes removed so I can wear pumps in the future.

And I saw this thing on the discovery channel... or TLC maybe... a while back, and it featured the burmese "long neck" village... And even though I forgot what the clothing looked like, I draw this girl with the rings around her neck. to make it long.
If I had the choice, I would totally stretch my neck like that.
The only thing is, it said if the rings were removed all at once, the neck would collapse, gah.

Okay so it's reall ybad, it barely counts. I just wanted to draw the long neck thing before I fell asleep.

the first drawing seems a bit heavy on the right side. I think when you draw really tiny feet, it's a good idea to make sure everything seems balanced anyway.

i like the coloring though. i REALLY want to learn how to make pinstriped on the computer, but then i wont be doing any CG until July.

Thanks!
And, I agree, it seems sort of tippy. it actually looks a lot less like that when it was on paper, since there wasn't any depth from color (cause it was just outlines), but after i finished i was kind of like, "gah... does that look okay?".
When I look at it though, even the hair and shoulders and mouth and stuff are a bit heavier on the right side.

And the pinstripes (and really subtle scissors pattern on the shirt) are made with photoshop's pattern tool. I just made a little pixel image, made the background transparent, and then go to edit > define pattern, select the area i want to use, and pattern fill with the desired tile pattern. It's on a multiply layer so it overlaps, and then the excess is cut off, and the opacity lowered slightly. It's kind of like toning work in comics, but digitally.
(this is all with photoshop CS, but I'm pretty sure it would work with other PS versions)

apparently, a lot of people's browsers blocked photobucket recently (or, that's what one of my friends told me... they may be misinformed though) because of some spyware alert or something.
