EDIT: I heard on E! News from last Tuesday that Taylor will play Jacob. Alls well that ends well. Thanks for your opinions! END EDIT
So I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge by now that Taylor Lautner may not be playing Jacob in the second movie. I learned this from E News, being a faithful viewer (THEY SAID "ROSALIE CULLEN" AND I WANTED TO KILL THEM! IT'S HALE, YOU STUPID PEOPLE!...anyways).
This Monday (I think), during the "So true/So false" section of the show, the question was "Has Taylor Lautner already been given the boot?"
They go into how Taylor's reps have been trying to get in contact with the people behind the body transformations in "The Curious Case of Benjamin whatever", and what not. I really wasn't paying attention, so when they said "in the running..." I snapped to attention. The first guy (I didn't recognize him) would be good if they replace Taylor, which I don't want them to do, because he looks like an older version of Taylor, but then...
"...as well as Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes..."
I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Seriously, would Ben Barnes make a good Jacob? What do you guys think?

No...just...no. I don't see what was wrong with Taylor playing a 16ish year old since he sort of...is. Not being "tall enough" is ridiculous when you think of other changes that have been made to the movie. Time and maybe pumping some iron would help make him look more manly for the next movie anyway.

What do you guys think? i think that they really dont need to change him till the 3 movie because thats when jacob becomes like 7 feet tall and he just needs a little darker tan and hes good the one they more then likely will need to replace is the guy who plays edward(didnt see the movie and dont know his name) because people like on E and entertainment are kindof saying he likes his adult drinks a little to much and if they do the guy that played lestat(Stuart Townsend) in anne rices book/movie queen of the damned would be really good as edward

I heard that Michael Copon was in the lead to play Jake. Ben Barnes was in the running to play Aro.

But i don't want them to replace Taylor either!!!!!! gonk Ben Barnes is hot but he would be a horrible choice for Jake but maybe he'd make a good Aro.

Well, it's official that Lautner is reprising his role. I read it own Meyer's page.
I think it's for the best since it would be awkward to have different actors, but at the same time wittle Taylor is going to have to buff up.
