Well that sounds skeptical... but heregoes, I'll do the best I can with what I am given.

Jesus doesn't kill children. There are other things that effect everyone. There are demons, there is demonic activity, and God has given all of us the power of choice. For example, If I incur a debt that I do not pay, and it is left for my children, is it fair that they should have to pay that debt? Hell, no! But realistically, there are debts that children pay for that were incurred by their parents. This happens spiritually as well.

The bad that comes is a consequence of God giving us free will. Without people being able to choose for themselves how to act, we'd all be drones that couldn't choose to love God, and who wants that kind of forced affection? So, the people that make bad decisions affect everyone, and that's why we must pray to change things. Because God will not go behind our backs and control our lives, he wants our consent to intervene.

That's the first question, at least. Feel free to respond. ^^

The lukewarm thing... it's more about choosing the Lord over other things. There is a verse that says;

No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money” (Matt. 6:24).

^The greek word used here is Mammon, meaning money or possessions.

What God meant by 'if you are lukewarm he will spew you out of his mouth' is that you cannot pretend to care for God, to loves others, etc. You have to go all the way and represent that with your life. Live as if you DO love others, as if you do love God. Nobody is perfect, but this just means that you can't pretend, or you can't just be a good person when it's convenient, like on Sunday. You have to be genuine.

The Book of Revelation (Questions to ask)

Would Jesus kill little children because their parents sinned?

Would Jesus vomit you and me out of the Kingdom of heaven for being only luke warm?

Would Jesus change salvation by faith back to salvation by works?

Would Jesus direct his disciples to rule with an "iron rod" instead of love?

Would Jesus send you to hell for not believing every word of the Book of Revelation?

The Book of Revelation should be crossed out in every Bible.
Go get a pen, pencil, or marker.

I think it's rather rude of you to say to go cross out revelation. even if you don't believe the full of it, there are still believable parts.

Besides, when do WE get to decide what goes into GOD's word?

I'm glad your asking these questions. I hope that you research the Bible and the book of Revelation more and continue to find truth. I would like to answer your questions but the truth is that I don't have all the answers. I can tell you what I do know (which isn't anything compared to the answers that God has for you). I might be wrong but it looks like you are asking how the book of Revelation fits in with the love of Jesus. Let me know if I'm wrong. You seem to be familiar with Jesus's teachings on love and it is true that God is love (1John 4:8, 1John4:16). Jesus is God. He is the same God of the Old Testament. Do children and infants suffer eternal punishment for their parents sin? I have not read that they do. When King David had an infant that died because of his father's sin, he said, “I'll go to him, but he will never return to me”(2 Samuel 23) implying that he will be with his son in Heaven. Consider reading the whole story about David's son and his conception. As for the harsh teachings about being luke warm, I believe that Jesus taught about this himself. Jesus talks about the consequences for not helping and loving others. Matthew 25:31-46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matt 25:46 And in Matthew 13:24-30 Jesus tells a parable of weeds growing with the wheat. I believe the wheat are people who listen and believe Jesus and the weeds are people fooled by the “enemy.” “Let them grow together until the harvest. At the harvest time, I'll tell the reapers, gather the weeds first, tie them in bundles, and burn them. But store the wheat in my barn.” Jesus's message is consistent with Revelation. God is not looking for works. God is looking for something much more difficult to explain unjust works. He wants our relationship, our love, and our willingness to serve Him. More on that in the next post.

Would Jesus change salvation by faith back to salvation by works?

I don't believe salvation comes by works but works are essential. The bible says salvation comes by faith. Many people claim to have salvation but you wouldn't know it by their actions. Just because you say you have faith doesn't mean you actually do. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. I can say the tree in my front yard is an apple tree all day long but unless it can actually produce apples, it isn't an apple tree. I can even go out and staple apples to that tree and say, “Look! It has apples.” That doesn't make it an apple tree. If I say I love my spouse, but the way I treat them is with abuse and neglect, I can't really say I love them. The love is void. I show my love through my actions. True love creates certain actions. If those actions aren't present, my love isn't present. On the flip side, just because I do nice things for my spouse, it doesn't mean I love them. If I have true faith, I'll want to do what He asked me to do and what pleases him. True faith produces certain fruit naturally, not forced. So to answer your question, works must be present but they don't make salvation. Salvation makes works. If you just follow a set of rules, just because, it doesn't mean a thing. You have to have the relationship present.
