Okay, okay... now, I'm not sure if I've ranted about this before, but if I haven't, then let me start here.
Sibby's car is relatively nice. The radio, however, has been ******** with him for quite some time now... At first, it would freeze for a moment as he was listening to it... maybe once a week... then once a day.. then a couple... and eventually it go to the point to where the damn thing really started pissing Sibby off.
So, Sibby took it apart, looked at it, put it back together, and it worked... just like it did before (as in, it still would keep freezing). Then, later on down the line, it didn't just "freeze" anymore, it would just go blank. As in dead. But would come back on. And it started sparingly, but grew in frequency until Sibby got tired of it.
Sibby gave up, and bought a new radio. Figuring it was the problem, he put it in. Freezing problem fixed. Dying problem not fixed. Eventually it got to the point to where the radio never was on, ever.
Sibby would, every now and then, try to fix it. Checking fuses, swapping out other audio parts (there's a rear radio unit thingy too, that I temporarily checked against a known working one), pulling radio out and putting it in... checking wires for power (done on several occasions, one of which he was in a really bad mood beforehand, and was trying to do something to get his mind off of bad thing, and smashed his multimeter... multiple times... Did you know that a 9V battery has 6 smaller batteries inside it? ^_^( ) ), and generally just getting frustrated by it.
I even got one of my mom's mechanic friends to have a quick look over it. He found exactly what I did; everything that needs to have power has it, everything that needs a ground has it, and everything *should* be working.
...
So, after all of this, today I go out and go looking under my hood to check my fluids (unrelated), and I for shits and giggles decide to look at the fuse box under the hood (which I've done many times before, LOOKING for the damn problem), and I double check the audio fuse there.
Fuse is fine. (I can see it from the side, odd setup), but looking closer at it, I notice that the fuse looks... offcenter.
I pull it out, and look, and notice that the electrical connector in the holder is to one side, and that there's a space next to it where the fuse can sit, but not be in the connector. It would be able to connect, but easily be bumped off and back on (and if dust got into it, then it wouldn't come back on).
Sibby puts it back in right, goes to check, and sure enough, Radio works. Sibby feels stupid that after all that, it WAS a ******** fuse, that he ******** checked several times before noless.
So, Sibby's an idiot. Nothing new there. But the radio works. w00t! n_n
Okay, so now that that part's over, I'm sure that you all know that this is practically the end of the semester (some people are already out, some aren't, but Sibby is). And Sibby got his grades.
Straight A's. Hard a** Physics Courses.
Feeling like a mad genius? Check. ^_^
So, to recap, or for those people that went tl;dr:
Sibby feels awesome, like a mad genius, and like a damn idiot. ^_^
