Ok, there's this girl in my class who sits right next to me, and shes really nice, but we don't know each other past names (i have my friends, she has hers).
Today, i over heard her talking to her friend amy, saying that she had sex with her boyfriend (shes 16, so its legal and everything), but she's worried because shes about a week late on her period and she thinks the condom might have split, or he didn't put it on right.
Her friend amy gave her really bad advice (basically said just ignore it, it'll be fine). I want to correct her and tell her to go to the brook and ask for help, or atleast take a simple pregnancey test.
(btw, the brook is a free confidencial sexual health advice survice that runs in england (not sure if its in america)).
So, i want to help her, but like i said, we're barely know each other and she might be offended that i overheard the conversation, what do i do?

DvnT I suggest a counsiler to talk to her. Confidentiality gaurtenteed. wel, we have a "confidential" school counceler, ... but its not really. To be quick, shes a total b***h that spreads everything you tell her "in confidence" to the rest of the staff and parents. Plus, in our school, if you get pregnant before 6th form, your kicked out.

I guess if you feel she "Needs" the help then go ahead and tell her about Brook (never heard of it here sweatdrop )
If she doesn't care then don't help I guess...
I wouldn't do it if I thought she was a b***h...

this is going to sound a little insensitive, but since you don't know this girl that well, plus she didn't ask you for your opinion, it isn't technically any of your business.
However, telling her about the brook place/thing is a good idea though.

ok, if you don't know each other past names, then how do you know this anyways? i mean, if she's the one who told you, by all means, give her advice- tell her to take the pregnancy test. it's no big deal. Juno did it (yeah, i love that movie) but if you didn't hear from her and you're really worried, just casually say, "is it true that you're preggo?" and then she'll say "i dunno" in which case you help or "yes" in which case you just talk to her about it. it's no big deal (well around here it's not) to be pregnant, but if you're really concerned, do something.

Talk to her. Tell her to get a dollar-store pregnancy test. It'll be worth it. Even if her friends said to ignore it, she won't. It'll bug her for months until she's either not getting any bigger or she misses her period for a long time.
Just pull her aside so nobody overhears, and tell her you heard her.

Isn't there a law against spreading something thats supposed to be confidential? If you do end up telling her and she does spread it around, you could sue her, or she could get fired.

you should have amy tell her about brook, that way she knows and you don't look like you were spying or anything.

I suggest that you tell her. It's not like your giving her bad advice your trying to help her. Hopefully she won't take it as an offense. but people over hear conversations all the time.
