BloodRain’s slick pelt waved in the wind. The dark plains were a hazard to his black fur and his baked skin. He coughed once as the sand blew uncomfortably threw his black wings and ruffled the end of his scarf. There was no shelter. Just dirt and trees. He had come from the god of this place, what a weird encounter and was now searching for his way home. But this path he did not recognize.

Kega was the same BloodRain. Lost, but she lived in this world and she was lost in the sand. She felt stupid for being lost. She was following her leader. Once wanting to see him in his feeding without him holding back from being to graphic. But why would she do such a thing? She was blind. She couldn’t see it which provoked her to rub the blind fold on a rock and cut it. She would be forced to see her hideous eyes that would scare her leader away. She didn’t remember why they looked how they did. She was only a pup back then.

Ashi the dark alpha of the west bounded threw the sand. Like it was butter under his feet it seemed to melt as his large foot prints made him almost sink from his weight. The full moon provoked him to feed. And what more to do then feed, have fun. Have his torture called fun. Maybe find the cold thing that he had seen a long time ago. Meet the females life he had spoiled. This would make him happy. Maybe she would lose a leg this horrible day.

Tenshi’s teeth were pressed deep into the carcass of the large deer-like animal she had predatored as she smiled. Puzzled by the sudden change in weather from the warm sun to the sandstorms she looked up and sighed. She was far from her pack and she would not be bale to travel back for a day. Maybe if she found a cave… She knew this area well enough it held her favorite antelope creatures as prey. There was a large rock formation a mile or 2 away. But in this weather who knows what else would be resting there.

NightStorm sighed as the wind flew threw her wings. There were holes so she did not feel most the grains of sand that were wisped up. Her eyes on the other hand were blood shot. She was in a tiny bit of pain but nothing like she felt when it slid own her bandages. She would shake it out. But there was a large rock formation in the distance. She ran faster. She was there soon enough. There was a large cave in the side. Perfect. She ran in shaking her pelt and watching the glistening sand fall off. She went deeper in the cage and like the coward she was she hid from the sand.

BloodRain get very irritated growled. Wrath it showed the most. “ Stupid stupid… “ He told himself. Over and over again he cursed and bit at the wings. Painful memories made his wings sting. “ Stupid… “ He growled. Once more he shook his fur. Soon though he saw something he was happy to see. An adolescent was trailing in the sand. Poor thing looked blind. “ Are you okay…” He asked the figure. The faint smell of a dog not a wolf seem to draw near. Other helixes as well. And was that a rock formation? How things play out…

Kega was alone. For what she knew. Her wings went up and down and a ringing flooded her ears. She almost choked. A voice sounded from the distant. It sounded like velvet. How horrible she felt as if her death would be near now. “ I am fine… “ She called lightly back then zipped her lips. She was about to run. But then she felt the faint smell of another helix and no food. It almost was like he was starving. “ lost, and blind but fine… “ She told the figure.

BloodRain chuckled “ Blind eh? Well there is a rock formation up ahead we can head there so we can hide form this horrible sand… I think you need to be led so maybe we should go…” He said. He got much close and touched his head to hers so she would have his scent. “ I am BloodRain by the way we need to hurry, can you trust a stranger? “ He asked.

Kega sighed. She would not disappoint Gethin and be killed. She caught his scent and when he said can you trust a stranger she said simply “ I can “ BloodRain to reply sighed and said “ Next time don’t “ This puzzled Kega. They both looked away and she said “ I am Kega… lets go…” She said simply taking lead but it was easy enough to get ahead of her. She knew there was something coming. For anything.

BloodRain got ahead and led the way. The dust surrounded them and he sighed. But when he sighed he started to cough. Sand in his lungs gross. He soon saw large foot prints in the sand. Larger then a regular alphas. But he knew whatever it was it was an alpha. But when he turned around and saw Kega dropping to the ground and whimpering he got tense. That scent must have done something “ What’s wrong Kega?” He asked. But it was visible near. A large wolf. To big to be true.

Ashi grinned a grin that was ohh so unpleasant. Kega shook. Whatever it was it was close. He growled and said “ Maybe I should finish the job…” But then something was on him. Pushing him to the ground. What is this? A large saber tooth was pressed on him. It was so uncomfortable. He felt blood leak from his side and teeth that were unreal sank into him.

Tenshi was on top of the beast. She was a protector and she knew how evil most werehelixes were. Like a priestess Tenshi banished all the evil like the werehelixes. “ Be gone !” She growled biting deeper. Ashi found this unappealing and was not worth it and threw himself up. He shook the helix off his pelt and scurried off. A blood trail left behind him. Tenshi snickered “ Poor kids.. “ She said looking at Kega and BloodRain,

Kega got up and bowed unable to see her. “ Thank you… “ She said smelling the gross smell of blood and the faint smell of the werehelixes. BloodRain was chuckling “ I could have handled that… “ He said jokingly. He flapped his wings to shake the sand and said “ Well we are heading to the cave if you wish to come… sabor-toothed-one… “ He teased.

“ Tenshi my name is Tenshi… “ Tenshi said rudely and rolled her eyes. She want in front of them and said “ I was over in the cave when I came to save your butts. “ She teased back matching his tone. She flipped her coat once and dust rippled out of it. “ Last one there is a werewolf! “ She teased. She was changing moods drastically but this was common.

Then they all took off in a run Kega following after their scent a bit behind. Fear still rippled down her spine. It was horrible the way that werehelix made her feel all the childhood thoughts it brought. When the all entered the came like they were all connected they all shook their pelts the sand leaking from them. BloodRain shook the longest his wings loved to cling to small things. It was quite annoying. Then they looked at eachother and sighed.

NightStorm quivered and shook as she heard sounds from the front of the cave. Was this her fate to leave the earth in a cave not in her territory. Of course the minute she died she would not go to another world. Her soul was minded to this world and it would not change for any lifetime. She shook and decided she would ‘die’ or live. She came out to see the 3 helixes dusting themselves off. “ He…llo… “ She said lightly. She gave a small smile and made her wings go up and down.

Kega jumped when she heard someone else’s voice. “ Hello… “ She said a bit more enthusiastically then NightStorm. BloodRain said his greeting in a velvety voice and Tenshi said hers in a bored voice. Kega was the first to approach the other. She smelt the area to make sure she knew the smells of everyone. Kega moved her wings. Would she get rid of them? That didn’t matter know it was only to be able to live.

BloodRain smiled. He blinked and then said “ Well we all need to be introduced.. I am BloodRain… This is Tenpi… “ He said moving his tail in Tenshi’s direction. Then he flicked his tail to Kega’s direction then said “ And this is Kega… “ He said calmly. He snickered again they were all here for a random reason. To hide from the sand and yet so many of them. It made him wander how spontaneous it was for Tenshi to save them from Ashi.

Tenshi wagged her tail like a dog. The saber tooth then said “ okay now that we all have met then you should now I own y’all because I am the highest rank.. “ She joked trying to act all proud. She noticed BloodRain rolling his eyes and she did the same with hers. There was no pattern to how weird Tenshi was. Her sabor teeth drooped and scraped against her jaw when she moved her mouth but it did not hurt.

BloodRain then said “ Ha Tenshi not for long I am soon to be an alpha of the Eastern territory… The more helixes I meet the better I get… so you all will know an alpha in another territory!” He said. Greed. Stupid stupid boy. He felt sorrow and mumbled “ Sorry about that… “ He let his tail sweep the floor once and then he stopped.

NightStorm finally saw who it was “ BloodRain.. She said lightly… “ She looked him straight in the eye then looked away. Memories were painful and she knew BloodRain didn’t have to remember. She was happy for this her little brother would not feel her pain. She did not ever want him to hurt. She deserved all the pain or at least she though so.

BloodRainsaw some sadness in her eyes. “ I’m sorry do I know you? You seem so sad… “ He said he would never remember any time before. Never. Just what he was. He felt stupid for thinking like this in a crowded place. Filled with strangers. Odd strangers… 2 with wings and one blind they were all so different. Still he though how so many could be brought together. It was like the gods had done it but of course they hadn’t.

Kega was listening to them. But their chatter made her thing of her pack. She sighed “ I need to get home… “ She said filled with sorrow. She wanted to get home soon. She missed Gethin. Gethin would be keeping her safe right now wouldn’t he? He would be doing what she wanted to ask him to do to let her see the world. But she was lost and what if she was never found.

Tenpi smiled and then said “ Well Kega you want to get home don’t you?” She asked lightly. She would be able to help her get home wouldn’t she. Tenshi then frowned. “ If you want to get back to your pack then I best take you there was the storm is as light as it is farewell BloodRain and NightStorm I must take young Kega home. “ She announced.

Kega was surprised at how urgent Tenpi was. She nodded once and couldn’t help but smile “ Thank you Tenpi… So much… “ She said. She caught Tenpi’s scent and went to her side. She got a bit close and said “ Well.. Good Bye I hope to see you all on better terms next time… “ She concluded. Her and Tenpi left the cave into the sandstorm.

BloodRain and NightStorm were left. They looked at each other for a very long time. Neither of them spoke. They both were waiting for the other to say it. It which needed to be said. BloodRain soon started to think it threw. The past seemed so real to him looking at NightStorm.

NightStorm finally said it “ I will leave.. “ She said lightly. She turned to started to walk. Her wings brushed his her head was low and the bandages scraped the floor loudly. Her white fur brushed once in the light wind the leaked in. The blood stains tried to ring her neck in her eyes. Horrible.

BloodRain followed after her. He went in front of her and then said “ NightStorm do you hate me… Do you? I don’t remember it all… just please.. Tel me the truth I want to know who I am… NightStorm I did this to you I almost killed you, you help me I know… something happened please… please… “ He was pleading to her.

NightStorm touched her nose to her brother. He was bigger then her and he was younger. The scratch on her nose left a red line on his nose. She backed up and said “ I love you BloodRain I always will what you did to me was made me happy you were a wonderful younger brother and that’s why I wouldn’t let you die… And now I see I should of… “ Her words were heartless as she turned and left in the musky dirt rising off the ground and then BloodRain was alone.
