you can steal the gas mask from RE: Code Veronica X. That way, you're safe and you get rid of Chris (or Claire, whoever needs it)

Original game:
There was one time when I was watching one of my old roommates play for the first time, and he kept getting buzzed by one of the flying creatures. So he whips out the pistol and tags it, and it goes crashing into a storefront.
It then proceeded get up, walk down the steps, then over to Harry and punch him in the face with the claw at the top of its wing. I'm not sure, but I think the noise it made could be loosely translated as "b***h, where mah money?!"

Funniest moment for me was probably in Silent Hill Homecoming when I had around an hour long battle with Scarlet because my game must have glitched and she was invincible. It's funny because my friend was over witnessing my anger.
Another moment is probably in Silent Hill 1. Oh the memories. It was my freshman year and I had my friend over again to show him the first silent hill game I played. Got to the school and I screamed like a girl and threw my controller across my basement when those crazy kids attacked me. xd

I just wasnt expecting such power cool I bout died laughing when sepulcha died lightning fast. lol

In SH3. Heather, in the bathroom, refusing to put her hands down the toilet. Quote: (Upon examining clogged toilet) "Ugh, forget it! This is way too gross." (Heather looks at the player) "Who would even think of doing something so disgusting?" Obvious breaking of the fourth wall, there. Fair doos though, I'd be pretty reluctant too. But it made me think of when James has to do it in SH2, so I started laughing my arse off. Also, the reference to James and Mary that she makes: Quote: (Upon examining mailbox) "There's no mail here, not even from a dead wife. Well, it's not like I have one of those anyway."

Oh wow, I never heard of the mailbox reference before surprised Course, I still have yet to play the third, I'm waiting for the HD release. Its a shame really, I think thats something the newer silent hills lack... nice, noticeable references to previous installments. The last one to do this was Silent Hill 4 (that I know of), and thats mainly because of the entire story line being connected to a simple trashed article in SH2. Oh, and there's all the robbie dolls too. 3nodding

A little research and a silent hill demi-god gave me instructions on how you can receive the letter. You must have a memory card with a silent hill 2 save file on it in use, and the mailbox is the mailbox in heather's apartment. This save file will also trigger the toilet scene, the poster of maria, and a message on the wall on the roof of brookhaven hospital.
