Have you ever participated in one of these stories? Well if not then try it out; it's a lot of fun. The idea is simple someone write something and then the next person starts where the last person left off. We still need to adhere to Gaia's TOS so please keep it clean.
You may write a sentence or a paragraph or anything you like - the point is to allow others to write, so writing the whole story is not recommended, but having fun with it is.

It all started with a boy named Pheonix. His real name he liked to keep a secret. He was one of the only people left who still used ancient weapons. He used a sword. He practiced a lot even though all his friends called him stupid for it. Soon, however, Pheonix`s sword would prove the only defense to the city...

No one knew that not only was Pheonix's sword ancient, it possessed magical powers. It gave him the strength to fight a whole Army. Little did he know it, but the sword and each spirit that has used it would help him soon....

One day, while Pheonix was walking down the road back to his house, he saw a bright light in the sky. His sword started to emit a red light...

The red light that the sword let out was aiming towards the sky. In the sky was an armored ship sent from the Alter-Land. Somehow, the sword wanted Phoenix to board that ship. On that ship, he would find the answers...at least that's what the Spirits of the Blade kept whispering in his ear.

Phoenix could not resist the influence of the sword nor all of the spirits dwelling within it. He found himself making his way closer and closer to the ship. He was only a block away when the ship finally landed. When he walked up to it, he was amazed at what he saw next...

Inside was an image of himself, split in two. It was like looking into a mirror, where there was dark and light mingling almost chaotically. It began to speak. The voice was not there but Pheonix could hear it in his head.
"I am an otherworldy being, and this shape is a form reacting to you. The sword which you posses holds all the answers you need, you simply have to find the questions. Soon, your town will be destroyed. If you can find the one who did it, you can begin your quest."
"What...quest...? How do you...know this...who are you...why me?"
"As I said...you will learn the answers when you can find the questions."
"But I..."
The being didn't wait...it faded back into the inards of the ship. Before it took off, there was a huge explosion. Pheonix turned to look and saw...

...smoke, black smoke, curling up from where his village had stood! The alien had foretold it, but Phoenix had not thought it would happen so soon after the prophesy.
What to do, what to do? He was only 17, still a child in so many ways, mature beyond his years in others. How was he to begin the search? What would he use for money?
Wait...these were questions...didn't the alien mind say he needed to find the questions? This was a start...to what?

This was a start to... Battle of the Bishis!!
A match down between 2 of the hottest guys in history;
Phoenix, and his arch nemisis Ryu!
There was a cold stir in the air as Ryu decended down from the clouds, landing with a crash on top of Phoenix.
"Hey! Didja miss me?" Was all the introduction the spunky (and Hott) 15yr old boy needed.
"Ooff!! Get off!" Phoenix replied glaring at the annoyance.
"Well sheesh! I was just here to....."

"What,"said Phoenix, "just what? Mt village is probably nothing but rubble and here you come, just floating down here after all these months as if you just left yesterday."
"Well, what do expect?" asked Ryu.
"I expect......"
