At a WWE live event in Ontario, The Miz & John Morrison defeated the team of CM Punk and Kofi Kingston to become the new world tag team champions.

Here is a link to photos of the match. #13 was my personal favorite, the gleam of the tag title was a very nice touch.

Punk and Kofi didn't really have a good reign at all. I think most of the time they were involved in singles matches rather than tag matches. It'll be fun to see Miz and Morrison as champs but I rather they win it on TV.

it was just to ensure punk & kofi werent tag champs before the intercontinental title tournament final. keeps all champs out of the tournament this way.

I heard something similar, that it was to ensure that CM Punk is set up to go for the title.
