Okay, so, pot can't kill you. You can't overdose on it. Even the book of all the drugs ever made or gathered says the only side effect is sleep while other chemicals list death. Including alcohol.
Yet it is illegal, but alcohol you can buy at the corner store. And you drink it. And you feel great until you drink too much and you end up barfing all night and getting alcohol poisoning and possibly dying. And even if you don't die, the majority of people get hang overs.
Yet, it is legal.
Another good point I want to bring up is addiction. Now I think there is a difference between mental addiction and physical addiction. You can want something really bad or need something to fulfill your fears, that's a sort of addiction. Then there is physical addiction where your body itself craves something and wishes for you to get it posthaste. You can be mentally addicted to marijuana, but not physically.
However, you can be mentally AND physically addicted to alcohol. And yet it is still legal.
People are dying and becoming addicts and it's just a way for the government to make money and how most entertainment companies and establishments survive.
But pot doesn't do that.
Yet it's illegal.
D: You see how the government pounds something into our head so much that we automatically think it's the most terrible thing when the real danger is the bottle of vodka we're buying from the liquor store across the street?

Sounds kinda silly when it's compared like that eh.
The only problems I see with it becoming legal are the " I aint got no job dropped outta school lolz" homeboyz might be able to make more money.
Obviously growing and selling would still be illegal.
sooo possession of small personal amounts would be fine.
But then again they consider it a gateway drug so I don't see them saying it's fine anytime soon.
Alcohol abuse is bad..
Alcoholics are bad and if they're dumb enough to drive drunk I can only hope they kill themselves and nobody else.
abusers of anything are usually obnoxious anyway.

Personally, I don't see the attraction to either one.
But as far as the dangers go, I think pot should probably legalised. Not becasue I condone its usage, but because it's hypocritical to sell alcohol legally and then ban something which is less harmful.
The only problem I can see with legalising pot, other than the reason previously stated, is that it may become a bit of a slippery slope. If pot was allowed, people would start campaigning for the legalisation for all sorts of other s**t.
Anyway, yes, it's interesting how stupid some people really are -- it's ridiculous that alcohol is so easy to come by when it's such a harmful substance.

If they could SOMEHOW control it, and get the money they want from it, then they would probably legalize it.
The government just wants their share.

If they could SOMEHOW control it, and get the money they want from it, then they would probably legalize it.
The government just wants their share.

But they control the production of tobacco and that's a plant.
