i know it's not Bowie, but it's an amazing Glam band and it is related somehow..
i love marc bolan, specially electric warrior, the slider and tanx, wich in my opinion are the best albums from t-rex.
who else likes it? what do you know about it? anyone heard about tyrannosaurus rex (i don't know if it is an alternative name, a different band of bolan's or the original name of the band)?
favourite songs: -planet queen -life's a gas -rabbit fighter -telegram sam (all of them! the slider is amazing!)

I am also much enamored of T. Rex! xd
I don't have as many albums as I'd like, though.

T. Rex rocks. At least what I've heard of theirs since I have only been able to get my hands on "the solid gold best of". LeGasp, I know it's horrible but I'm working on hunting down some of their albums. I love Telegram Sam and Children of the Revoltution

Basil_Hallward I'm working on hunting down some of their albums. Aside from Electric Warrior cds are really hard to find outside of England (which is why quite a bit of my collection is mp3 files and vinyl records) so you might just have to get them online. Cool name by the way. I love Oscar Wilde 3nodding

T. Rex are great! Marc Bolan died way too young, it would have been interesting to see what he would be doing now

Probably everybody here knows this already, but did y'all know that the guy with long black hair and make-up of which Bowie sang in "Lady Stardust" was none other than Marc Bolan? Yup. I think Bowie produced T. Rex, didn't he? So that might be part of it.
And from T. Rex, I love Children of the Revolution. It's catchy.

Yup. I think Bowie produced T. Rex, didn't he? So that might be part of it. And from T. Rex, I love Children of the Revolution. It's catchy. Bowie wrote 'Lady Stardust' as a response to Bolan's song 'Girl', which was about Mr. Bowie himself. They were big fans of eachother's music. But they never worked together professionally.
