Mya almost had a heart attack when Zephyiote went over the edge of the crater; forgetting for a moment that the Pan'lun was capable of flight, she dashed over and looked down just as the other soared upwards into the skies.

Soon, she was naught but a shadow among the clouds. Mya admired the graceful flight as her own wings twitched and unfolded, the strong desire to join Zephyiote crawling at the back of her mind though swiftly pushing aside all other ideas and thoughts. Clamoring onto the edge, the Avaidracus mimiced the others' form of take off and fell free-form from the former perch.

Just before she collided with the forest below, Mya's wings snapped open upon instinct and she was lifted high into the air by the thermals. Soon, she reached the level of the clouds and darted into the white fluff while enjoying the cool sensation of the water on her scales.

Zephyiote flew in a tight circle. So close that her tail fluff actually brushed her nose. It was rather difficult to pull off, and it'd taken a lot of practice. She stopped when she noted Mya coming around, playing in the clouds in much the same manner she herself had done. Zephyiote smiled. She knew she was right. She wasn't that different from other painters. Just look wise. Right? She still enjoyed the same things. The same past times. Mostly.

Zephyiote twisted to fly towards Mya, giving a few powerful pumps of her wings to get her there faster. She did loops around the other painter, circling her in various fashions. "Come, let us get a move on before all the deer run off," she said with a smile. She spiraled downward at a steady pace, finally leveling out a little above the tree tops, senses atuned, waiting for some kind of notice of something below her as her legs practically brushed the tree tops. "Let me know if you find anything," she called out to Mya. "And I will come help you chase it down!"

Slightly dizzy as the larger Paint flew in circles around her, Mya shook her head to focus as the request reached her ears. Smiling, she too leveled off as the tips of the trees swayed in the wind created by their flight.

"Aye aye, Captain!" With a laugh, Mya flapped her broad wings and focused on the shadows below. Nostrils flared to catch the lightest scent of prey, her keen eyes caught and focused on a small amount of movement below them...no doubt disturbed by the sight of the dragons.

"Zephyiote! Quickly! Below us!" She circled over the spot where the scent of meat was drifting from. A deer herd, and a large one at that.

Zephyiote had spouts of patience from time to time, when she could sit back and think about things. Plot out the best course of action, and work to see its fufillment. This, however, was not one of those times, and she needed no more encouragement from Mya to make the plunge down to the forest, snapping off branches and twigs in her less than planned descent. The deer-in-the-headlights look was nothing compared to this, the animals in front of her looked dumbfounded. But unlike when faced with a car, they high tailed it out of there as fast as possible, with what seemed like the devil at their heels.

Zephyiote cried out in delight. How else to express a feeling so glorious as this one? Her legs surged forth, to carry her after them. One, that was slower in recovering from the shock than the others, turned too slowly, and with a crushing side blow, Zephyiote sent it toppling, braking too many bones for it to move once it fell. But she didn't break stride. It would take more than one deer to fill her and Mya, so she would keep running. Hopefully the other would get the idea and join in as well.

Zephyiote had size as an advantage. Each leap and bound of hers was considerably larger than theirs. But their size was advantageous as well. They were more nimble, could slip through spaces she had to either manuever around, or bowl through. It was an interesting battle. But Zephyiote knew this was how it would work. They would run until they wore themselves out, or tripped and fell. It was rare that a kill escaped her. She had patience and endurance, and could run at this pace for hours. They, however, could not.

"Hurry up Mya. You are missing all of the fun!" she called with a laugh, smiling hugely. Moments like this...were splendid. Worth living for, even.
