My friend just informed me that he wants me to knit him a bunny hat for Christmas. I figure I could just make a beanie and attached the ears later. But I have no idea how to go about doing the ears, especially since he wants them to be posable. Plus I'm relatively new to knitting. Anyone have any ideas?

do u know those plastic grids in craft stores and all. well try knitting bunny ears a then use the grid to pose them, like making to identical sides and knitting the grid in between. xd

I would think putting some bendy wirey things inside would work out alright. The first thing that came to mind was pipe cleaners, but I doubt those would hold up in the long run. The only other thing I can think of that's pretty bendy like that would be some plain copper wire... and I guess you'd get that wherever you can buy electrical stuff. Radio Shack?

u could try kniting a shape like a bunny ear then stick a piece or wire through it so u can pose it

You know Gardening wire? The green coated stuff you can get at the craft store? Well that is really great for making cat ears, so it would probably work well with Bunny ears as well.
