My pets do alot of silly things. Today, my cat wanted in a room, so he meowed, but was ignored. Well, then he tried to twist the doorknob because he saw us get in that way. Of course, it didn't work. Midnight, my cat, also opens doors(and not by doorknobs lol 4laugh ). He puts his paw in the open door's crack and lets himself in. Now for my puppy, Bella. Every night for dinner she's always at the table, and sleeps under the covers, in bed, and pushes you for more room. X3 Its so cute, BUT it brings up a common question, do pets think their humans, or maybe siblings? Put your stories and your thoughts.

Lolz, thats funny! xDD Yea, my cats put their paws through doors when they are open, and then push their heads through to push the door lol. its so funny when they do it!! my youngest cat keeps climbing the christmas tree *sighs* he does this every year hehe. lol

Scorpiomarie Lolz, thats funny! xDD Yea, my cats put their paws through doors when they are open, and then push their heads through to push the door lol. its so funny when they do it!! my youngest cat keeps climbing the christmas tree *sighs* he does this every year hehe. lol same with my kitty! i even hAVE A picture of her climbing the tree but i can't find it.... sad and i think that animals DO think they are humans because most cats live with humans and so they have hung around us so much that they are like "hmmm i haven't seen anything that looks like me so i must be what these things are so i must be able to act like them too!" that what i think

Lolz, thats funny! xD Yea, sometimes my cats try to turn the door handle's but always fail hehe. and sometimes they try to talk "meow" alot. so yeah they probably do think they are like humans lolz. rofl

one of my cats wakes me up for school on weekday mornings and if i dont get up withit the first 15 min. he will pull my hair and choke me with his paws until i do wake up XP
he doesnt act like a cat at all

As we are the only ones who can open doors, make food, use a computer et cetera, cats try to do the same as us in an attempt to be able to do the same things as us. :3

One of the main problems I have to deal with in helping owners understand their pet's behavior issues is getting them to understand that although they live with us and love us, cats and dogs do NOT think like humans. They do learn from us and often will mimic our behavior. But ultimately, we need to understand how they think as best we can and how they communicate.

Exactly. We can't expect our pets to do all the work in communicating; we also have to make an attempt to understand them. At the moment, I'm (kind of) studying how cats communicate to better be able to understand my cat. Like, how their tail shows their mood, and how to be able to tell if they're friendly or agressive. :3

my dog pippa watches tv, when I brush my teeth in the morning she will whine till I get her tooth brush and do heres, she sits beside me whilest I brush my hair and wait for hers to be done. Then when I amswer the phone she sits beside me on the sofa and if you put the phone to her she grumbles and whines down it.
So yeah I think she is human or trying to be she also like sleeping on a bed and tucked in, steals my clothes and puts them on, one embarissing incedent involving a bra and her running off down the street with me chaisng her.... stare
