“So, why did you take me all the way out here?”

Soo questioned with a soft smile, following close behind Shu as they traveled all the way out to the pride lands.

“I want you to see where I was born; I wanted you to see my world like I have with yours.”

His dark mane ruffled against the wind as a cool breeze passed. The lands here were unlike the ones Soo was use to; this place was green and full of trees and life; and unlike the swamp there was no dark marsh here.

“Maybe if we are lucky, while we are here I can introduce you to my mother.”

“Your mother?!”

Soo blushed and stopped dead in her tracks. She felt so shy all of a sudden. Her ears flopped and she seemed to panic in spot.

“What if she doesn’t like me! What if she thinks I’m too old for you!?”

She felt so helpless now. This wasn’t going to go well if his mother didn’t approve.

“Haha, shhh you. Don’t worry. My mother is a lovely soul, she’ll love you no matter what.”

As he spoke he turned to nuzzle her softly, purring. His larger frame arched over her own as he lifted his head and gazed at the pride lands with a bright smile.

“This is my home.”

Soo stopped to take in the beauty of this new land; she couldn’t help but let all of her worries go as she gazed at the greens that surrounded them. It was stunning and sunny- she purred as the sun hit her gray pelt.

“Shu, it’s beautiful.”

She whispered as she moved herself to stand beside him.

“Not a beautiful as you are.”

He made sure she knew it.

“The beauty of nature doesn’t even compare to your inner grace.

He was being so sweet to her, Soo could hardly contain it; she knew her heart would burst if he kept this up.

“Come on Soo, I’ll show you around.

Soo nodded and followed Shu closely; they wandered deep into the pride lands and found a tiny place to relax. It was beside a large waterhole; there were birds all around and the sun was just setting. Shu smiled and motioned for Soo to come sit beside him.

As the two sat close to one another as they both enjoyed the view.

Softly Shu moved into lick Soo’s ear as he spoke out.

“This is how out life will be, you know?”

Soo smiled and looked up at him.

“What do you mean?”

“Perfect; out life will be perfect.”

He meant it. More than anything he wanted this to work; he was head over heels mad crazy about it and it showed now more than ever.

“You think someday we’ll have cubs of our own?”

Soo questioned as she nuzzled herself close to him and rested, gazing out at the waters before them. As the sun danced along the lands he spoke out.

“Someday; I think we will make good parents; and they will grow up knowing all of their older siblings; we can be one big, happy family.”

He nodded with a smile.

Mmm. Soo purred and nodded; life was perfect.

“Now, lets get going. My mother should be around here somewhere. Maybe if we are lucky we will find her before sundown.”

“Alright.”

Soo nodded as she stood up and smiled, nipping at Shu’s ear.

“Let’s get going!”
