Make yourself a ginger-root, chamomile, lavendar and pepperment sachet. That is: put the herb-condition of these (crushed leaves and plant version, not powder or liquid) into a very thin cloth and then fold/scrunch it into a bag shape and tie it tightlty at the top (open part) of the "bag". Place this bag-of-herbs under your bed or hanging closely over your head as you go to sleep. These herbs not only help you to relax, but sets a pleasant mood that should vanquish nightmares! http://bathheaven.com/images/lavender sachet.jpg - what a sachet looks like

Well, I don't really get nightmares, but your remedy worked for a friend of mine. She found it online.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery...I have a different way of getting rid of nightmares... It's not a concoction though. ...Today is a gift. That's why they call it the present.

Stones work fairly well for getting rid of nightmares as well. Though it's not listed in its properties, Selenite, a cloudy, almost opaque white stone, keeps away most bad, weird, or otherwise disturbing dreams. I have a large piece beside my bed and when it's there, I don't have any unusual dreams. When it's NOT there, however...
Yeah.

When I want to have a restful sleep, I get some lavender and some chamomile as well, but I usually have a bunch of it and put it in water to soak up the essence. Then I spray it on my pillow, so I'm sure I'll be near it at night.
