I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Wirthlin today. He reminded me a lot of President Hinckley - they seemed a lot like wonderful, grandfatherly type people that I always loved to hear speak! It seems like so many wonderful leaders have passed on recently.

Funeral for Elder Wirthlin set for Friday December 3rd, 2008 @ 3:23pm (KSL News) Funeral services for Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be held on Friday.
The services will take place at noon in the Tabernacle on downtown's Temple Square at noon. They will be broadcast live on KSL.com, KSL News radio, KSL-digital 5.3 and Comcast 105.
Elder Wirthlin died Monday night of causes related to old age. He was 91.
Because of Elder Wirthlin's funeral the Church's Friday night Latino Christmas program has been cancelled, but Church officials say they will try to make sure that those with tickets get to see Saturday's program.
Didn't know if anybody else would be interested - but thought I would post it anyway.

When President Hinkley passed away i felt guilty that wasn't crying or anything like that because he was a great prophet and he was humorous and everyting. I miss his jokes so much. Even though Thomas S. Monson isn't President Hinkley, hes still another great prophet too.
