I think the best part about winter is the fragility of it. I mean, other than Christmas and things, there's this certain feeling that you can only get with winter- just as you can reach out and melt a snowflake with a finger, or you can brush away the frosted panes with a hand, it's very much a beautiful, fleeting thing.
It's my favorite season, and it's that magical feeling that just comes with it- it's absolutely amazing.

I'd like to enter.
My favorite thing about both winter and the holiday season is how it can make a bleak, deary, grey sky feel comforting and bright! The air is crisp and the light from the sun is filtered from yellowish orange to bluish white! It's something I've remembered from winter since I was little, how I could step outside while dad put up the lights on the house, and how brisk yet subtle winds made the slightly dampened leaves rustle just so.

My favorite thing about winter is the environmentally friendly lights they string up downtown.
No.
Never mind.
Everything downtown in the middle of my little city during the holiday season. Especially during night.
It only rains during winter. Rain for nine months actually; fall, winter, and spring. But if you go into the city when it's dark out, it's all cozy and happy and lit up, and it's real pretty because everything is reflected on the wet streets and the river. And at the center, there's a GIGANTIC Douglas Fir that's all lit up.
Also, there's these windows that they set up with a "twelve days of Christmas" thing. And I remember going every single year to see them, even when I was just a little kid. I remember how amazed I was with the bubbles in a bath tub that was part of displayed. xD;
But, when I was little, that was all mediocre compared to a big "MADE IN OREGON" sign. It's basically a neon sign in the shape of Oregon and it has a deer jumping across. Well, they day after Thanksgiving, they put a red nose on the deer, like Ruldolph! And when I was a little annoying child, Ruldolph was absolutely the most AMAZING thing EVER.
So I'd sing the song while holding my little Ruldolph plushie in the car.

Hmm. My favorite thing about winter is the freshly fallen snow and being able to layer with my favorite coats and scarves that I can't wear any other time of the year.

My favorite thing about winter is rain! Cause in stupid southern California snow is all but a myth... I love the cool and wet of rain. And the fresh smell of after. <3 But I'm not! Well, maybe just a tad.

I love this time of year because everyone seems nicer and happier, there is snow and of course Christmas lights!

If I am still able to enter, I would like to please. My favorite thing about winter truly is the whole Jack Frost stories and the like. I don't like snow as much per say but I love seeing the way water has frozen into various icicle shapes on plants and other things. <3
