Hello everyone. I was in the LD yesterday and someone was asking about astrology. One of the posts in there said that astrology has been scientifically disproven. Horoscopes, Should I Be Worried About Them?I don't know about you guys but I have yet to hear anything about this. I'm pretty sure it would've been big on the news if that was the case. Until then, does anyone have any thoughts on this? Or am I going crazy and its actually true? Just wanting some opinions on this.

I think they have not been disproven, not at all, that sounds like something some Tauran would say (sorry Taurus, it's usually you).
Seriously, it would have been plastered and had to have tons of proof rather than the 'original' -pfft, oxymoron- "oh how can planets affect you?" "They are so general" "this that and moses".
No... no no no no no.
Bullcrap from that is just bullcrap.
Astrology is too accurate and people who try to disprove it are usually ignorants who don't like to be associated with 'illogical' meanings.
I creeped one Tauran out and he felt scared how I said his whole personality through his birthchart and he didn't believe in horoscopes.
He's converted finally.

Haha. I figured it would've been huge throughout the news and media too. Thanks for reasuring me. Lately I think i've been going crazier than usual.
Haha, wow. That's impressive. I've done that as well actually. This one guy was an Aries & he had a crush on an aquarius. I described them just based off of their birth signs & he was amazed. He said that I needed to become his advice guru. mrgreen

It hasn't been disproven. There have been some studies that have disconfirmed it, but other studies that look like they might have confirmed it.
Some claims that have been made about the mechanism by which it might work have been disproven, but that's another story.
So I wouldn't let it worry you. That said, it's always good to be open minded about things. What if astrology were false? How would that change things? We can't rule that possibility out with certainty.

typical horoscopes are usually bull s**t..
there is NO WAY that someone can cover the life events of 1/12 people with a single horoscope.
look into astro.com
they use planet transits instead of sunsigns

Haha. And to not let it dictate your life. I love my astrology but I don't let it run my life.

That's like asking a Catholic what they would do if God was disproven. It does make you wonder. I guess if astrology were officially disproven then it would tell me that the power of the human mind is enormous. I guess because I let it enhance my life and not dictate my life that it wouldn't be too much of a blow. Perhaps I would still keep using it.
