Chiron is my beloved astrology baby. Meaning, I'm utterly fascinated with Chiron, it's placements in Houses and Signs, and Aspects, but sadly finding good information on it is hard to do. So I was wondering if someone could direct me to good websites that focus on (or really cover) Chiron, or possibly books of the same intent?

what does Chiron deal with, exactly? i remember reading somewhere about it being "areas where we heal our own hurt through helping others" but that seems pretty abstract to me. can you clarify?

Okay, on both fronts I'll say what I know.
Chiron is an asteroid...no wait it's a comet!...no wait it's a planetoid...Okay, so they don't actually know what Chiron is, there are theories, but they keep changing. It's /something/ between Saturn and Uranus, and it has a very bizarre orbit from what I understand.
What it represents is basically several things. It's a reoccuring problem in your life/lives, which isn't always a bad thing, cause it's sorta in the train of thought like..."this is your problem area, but because you have all these problems here, you really understand how to help others in this area." In that vein it's where we are better at doing things for others, than for ourselves. It's where we can teach people a lot, but we are better at teaching them, than we are at doing, and get them better at it than we are.
I'll explain with my understanding, and give the example from my chart. My Chiron is in my 12th House, which to me is the Unconcious and Past Lives. I'm an amatuer psychotherapist (meaning I know the techniques, read the books, don't actually have psych degrees from a university though), I'm great at getting people to realize subconcious patterns in themselves and others....but my life is plagued with subconcious issues I can't seem to fathom, grasp or work out. Also, I do past life regressions and therapy...but...I myself have an extreme problem in accessing a lot of my past life memories on a concious level.

cafeastrology.com has a page on chiron. i like the cafe astrology site, though i have no idea how accurate the information. i also seem to have come up with a couple amazon hits from Google.
bah. googling "Chiron 'third house'" has come up with a bunch of different and not related results:
Quote: Chiron (to bring out the fullest potential) in The House of Communication and Thinking You may feel somewhat alienated at school, and in communicating with local people. Yet you can learn to use this "eccentricity" to help others through such things as teaching, communication and through your thinking. You may become a writer dealing with these matters, either as fiction or non-fiction.
Quote: Chiron gets its name from Chiros, having to do with time. Chiron in Gemini moves us into the 5th dimension where time is no longer limited by Saturn and chronological time. This sign trines the house I believe Chiron rules. Here, time as we know it is the least relevant. Gemini needs the freedom to move freely in the atmosphere, not attached to anything or anyone which restricts its freedom. At the same time, it is able to focus intently on any and all bits of information for only a short amount of time. Chiron here moves us into the 5th dimension where time can be longer or shorter in the NOW or totally ignored. Gemini is also the adolescent youthful sign not responding to age as strongly as other signs. It is from Gemini and the Third House that we find a way to ignore age at least for temporary moments. Chiron here increases those opportunities. Chiron here also support equivocation where a discussion can be never ending as long as it is introducing something a little different. This position can also be very helpful in making a decision once the information seems to be complete. Judgments are more involved with understanding rather than tabulating the elements or number of items involved. Dissecting to find answers is not acceptable to this position. Each piece must fit somewhere in the whole picture. NOW becomes crucial with little or no thought about what has gone before or what the results will be.. If it is done right you need not worry about the results. Nothing is ever settled until it is settled right and must be subject to change as each new picture evolves. If you have Chiron here you are probably considered more responsible than most Geminis might be. You may be impossible to pin down but also very opinionated with a logic which may not be decipherable. You cannot be detained longer than it takes for you to make a determination. You also cannot change just one thing. You must take in the whole picture. It might seem with all these considerations no decision could be made. However, you are living in the NOW. If anything changes the whole picture changes. You have no time to worry about that.
Quote: If you don't have any brothers or sisters, you may experience this Chiron placement as a lack, a hole in your life. If you do, then there could be continual problems with at least one sibling. This is a good placement for a voice coach or speech therapist. It is likely that you will be able to teach others to speak better than you do. This placement tends to increase the chance of communication problems of one sort or another. No, it does not guarantee a speech defect. Instead, there could be problems with making oneself understood. In some cases, this could indicate that one wasn't listened to as a child. That could trigger a lifelong quest to "make others listen to me." However, no matter how much they do, there is frequently a feeling that "they are still not listening." The problem is that no matter how much they listen to you now, it doesn't get rid of the pain you felt in childhood when they didn't. Mercury/Chiron stress aspects are likely to produce the same result. Recognizing this is a first step to leaving the pain behind.
my Chiron is also completely unaspected in my chart, the same as my boyfriend. huh.

Gah...that second one didn't seem very good at all. Chiron has nothign to do with Time as far as I can see, it wasn't named after Chiros/Kairos it was named after Chiron, the Centaur. Thanks though. Unaspected remember, doesn't mean it doesn't interact, still fun odd stuff can be there.

Chiron is in Gemini for me. What does that say?
Gemini is also my sun sign and my Mercury sign, if that is useful.

probably a lot of what i just posted will apply to you too, then, though i imagine which house it's located in comes into play a lot. for me, it's in Gemini in my third house, so it's like...double-twin-whammy
Ges: it's just frustrating to me that there's no common correlation between ANY of them. the second one just seemed plain fruity, so. yeah. and i can kind of see what's going on. i'm a creative writing/english major; my big thing in life is to make myself understood, to communicate my ideas and personality (this is why i'm so fascinated with the internet and blogging and all of that). a lot of ego is invested in this too, as my mercury is in Leo.
but is it because i need to overcome this idea of not being listened to? maybe. i do complain quite often that people don't NOTICE me (i blame pisces rising =P), so i suppose that goes hand in hand with not being listened to.
being that Chiron is your "baby," you wouldn't already have some good book/website sources on hand, would you? now i'm hooked, too =P
and unaspected planets, i've read in some places, sometimes have hard times being expressed in a chart. i wonder if that has anything to do with...anything.

MST3Kakalina being that Chiron is your "baby," you wouldn't already have some good book/website sources on hand, would you? now i'm hooked, too =P Isn't that what I came here asking? Hehe. Anyways Bob Marks Astrology has a section in the Astrology lessons, on Chiron, it covers Chiron in all the signs, and all the houses, but personally I have some issues with his interpretations. Also the book Chiron and the Healing Journey by Melanie Reinhart has been recommended to me by the astrologer I'm taking my course with. I also saw a really good book just titled Chiron, but I don't remember the author. The astrologer I'm taking the classes from said that a lot of people have a habit of getting obsessed with Chiron...and I admit...I did. I forgot, she was supposed to tell me how to figure out who much it means in a chart, cause I want to know if it means a lot to me. I mean, I have a very Sag chart...so I'd say so...but I doubt it's that easy, heh.

Bob Marks...i've been to his site. he seems to have a vendetta against Cancers. stare that does not endear him to me. though i shall investigate, since he otherwise seemed pretty decent.
