(( D: )) Malag waited patiently, being a male he wasn't suppose to instigate a thing. Nor would he want to turn away someone that could lead to a house finally taking him in. It wasn't that he was unwanted, he just was picky as to houses he would be in. He wanted a real education, actually training. It was also a thing to find one that you could trust, well trust didn't exist, but a house that you were useful to.
And this female could perhaps offer that. Her house was respectable and may offer the training he needed. When she finally spoke a word, he looked up at her and raised a brow. "And where would that be mistress?"

Akorbaste breathed deep and her skin tingled under the thrill of chaos. This was different. Quite a break from the temple, her House, from routine. A new turn, a stranger.. the priestess licked her lips. There was always possibility and opportunity. She just had to take it.
Turning her golden eyes to Malag'aun's face, Akorbaste clicked her tongue, "Tsk. You'll see when we get there." She had something in mind.
There was a small complex just outside her House's walls. It was a former training ground and a lot of mages tended to mill about it. There was always something going on and it was naturally a place to congregate and pick up news. He might appreciate seeing other el'faeruk. She never understood mages.
"So, where are you staying in Llurth Dreir?"

Malag rose a brow as he watched Akorbaste. She was ... interesting. No priestess had so much as looked at him with interest, let alone talk to him. "Good thing I like surprises then. I'd guess but it could be anything in a city of this size." Well, he did have guesses but he wouldn't want to ruin the lady's surprise.
As they walked he took in his surroundings, remembering the way they were walking. He glanced at her and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, no where actually."

"Hm." Akorbaste eyed the young male, "Really? No where at all?" She would not be so rushed as to offer him a place to stay right now. As with most drow who found their way home with her, she could really only promise so much as a place to stay for one evening. Rarely planned.
They continued walking through the down town and slowly the scenery of the drab gray clustered buildings began to change. A much darker stone complex was in front of them. Soft lights glowed on its edges. The burnt stinging stench of some spell hung the air around them. Akorbaste's skin crawled and she drew a sharp breath, hand light on Malag's arm.
"We are here." It was always easy to know when you got close to this place. There was an aura nearly tangible surrounding it, product of layer upon layer of many centuries of magic schools all in one place. You could see the House Oussekt'ar behind, looming up with its pale high walls adorned with large sculptures.
"Alright, let's go in. I have a few people to harass," Akorbaste gave a vague smile. She didn't mean anything by it other than she knew a few of the regular patrons and might as well make it worth her trip to introduce Malag and scope out for any rumors or news. "Keep your ears open."

He shrugged. "Well I've been staying here or there with what I've made off the streets. One needs to eat, you know." Some days he would make enough to eat and stay somewhere, other nights he wasn't lucky enough and had to pick. Malag watched with interest, remembering the way that they were going. It seemed that they were going someplace important.
At the complex he sensed the spell as well and slowed at the hand placed on his arm. It was easy to tell it was one of the city's houses and if he was to guess it was probably the one she belonged to.
Malag did wonder why he was brought here (she didn't take much interest in where he was staying after all). He mentally shrugged to himself and followed her to the complex. "Alright mistress." It would be an adventure at least.

Akorbaste led Malag through the low stone doorway of the mage complex. It was within sight of her House's walls and some of their mages, like her sister for one, could often be found there. She slipped inside the gloomy interior. It was lit by a variety of colored magical fires.
The priestess tugged Malag's hand behind her, pointing to a far corner. She didn't speak, glaring at a few curious mages as they walked quickly by. Akorbaste knew exactly where she was going.
Derjax, an older male, was a mage formerly from the Oussekt'ar house. Disagreements with the Matron had him removed from the House, but Akor knew what he was capable of and still liked to consult with him. She wouldn't call anyone a friend.
"Before you do whatever you do in the company of other mages," Akor rolled her bright eyes, "I have someone to introduce you to."
"Derjax!" Akor called out as she parted through the last group of drow. She didn't see the familiar face at first, but he turned around at her voice. Derjax had a pair of startling pale eyes.
"Lady Oussekt'ar. Any good news?"
"Never. They are both still alive." Akorbaste laughed. Her mother and sister had worked hard to purge any influence in the house from the mages. It was a poor decision. "Things are developing though, and she really can't keep up much longer. Did you get any names?"
He flicked his eyes discreetly and shrugged his shoulders as if to say of course he knew by now, and Akorbaste smiled. "Good, we'll have to talk more another time." She waved at Malag'aun.

Malag stayed silent as he followed her towards the mage's complex. At the hand tug he looked to the far corner she had indicated. He was indeed interested in talking with any of the mages. Though he wasn't sure what he'd talk about. After all he had no actual schooling, just what he'd picked up and taught himself. Malag wondered what news they were referring to. He could only guess that she was referring to a matron and some sort of sisters. The females were always killing each other off. The male nodded and waited for whatever else the lady wanted to do, or say.
