Mortimer smiled in return, happy that she liked his new coat. He nodded in response to her words, "Would be nice. A pity I didn't bring any of my things with me," he added, arching an eyebrow in surprise as she slipped into an outlandish and gigantic robe, laughing as she pulled on the hat he'd pointed out to her earlier.
Joining in on the laughter, Mortimer's smile merely widened and he reached for a rather floppy hat with a large feather sticking out of the top of it. "Now all we need are some pointy shoes," he said thoughtfully, his grey eyes scanning the shelves. "Don't suppose they-aha!" Mortimer muttered, his grey eyes widening in triumph as he caught sight of a pair of lavender-colored slippers with pointy toes. Reaching out a pale hand, he flipped over the price tag and made a face. "Tut tut, expensive footwear."
((Apologies for lateness and horridity.))
