just stick with oroganic honey and unrefined sugar, eat a varity of foods and keep the sweet treats in moderation. 3nodding
allow your self to eat them or else youll just binge. cause stress too is bad and those sweeteners have a few minor health benifits.
as for HFCS and any zero calorie sweetner ill never eat them if it has no calories it just means the body wont even attempt to process it. do your own on those as those 2 things made me into the healthnut i am today

..Oh no.. I'm like a sugar addict.
I can cut down on my junk food like chips and salty snacks without a problem, but sugar is like the one thing I could never quit.

For me, going without sugar is actually not a big deal; even growing up, I didn't like sugary foods and now a days, even a small amount of sugar makes me feel sick to my stomach (that's how long I've gone without eating substantial amounts of sugar through my life). When I have sugar, I feel that buzz, but a quick crash afterwards, my teeth feel gross and my body feels sluggish.
If there's anything sugary I do like, it's only things that are naturally sweetened, like OJ and cherries.
Now I'm just trying to keep my bf out of the sugar as he grew up eating sugar out of the sugar bowl. >///<

I have been trying to get him to eat less processed foods with refined sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Instead I get him to consume a lot of honey. Its work in progress but he knows i'm trying to help him. Perhaps your bf would enjoy honey?

We don't make much money, but I think I'll talk with him about perhaps having honey instead of sugar around the house (I never keep any in my house, so he goes without it when he stays at my place lol). Hopefully he'll like the alternative! ^^ Thanks for the advice.

But if you don't have access or cannot afford raw honey, pasteurized honey (I find) is still a better alternative

B-but... I <3 sugar ;-; I think raw sugar in moderation is fine. Things like agave nectar and such are way too sweet for me, and I don't have super sugary stuff all that often, so when I do I prefer actual sugar sweatdrop
Artificial sweeteners are the true enemy *shakefist*
