just do me a favor as long as they don't act like they are better than you or flaunt don't hate them because my freshman year(now a senior)I got third chair and it was awful; the whole flute section (with the exception of our captain and one of my best friends) stopped talking to me and started talking about me, so if they aren't really being a brat about it please don't treat them like they are.
P.S. Its irk sweatdrop

KRZZ Yes, it can be erking, but i don't mind when that happens because those people usually live Only for band and have absolutely nothing else in life that intrests them.
But as much as i live for band, i do have other intrests and cannot devote my entirety to band like they do.
So i just doodle my erks away and bring on the happy thoughts. ^^ omg... you're amazing!

cupcakemichi there's nothing wrong with that. he's just really good. if you want to complain about it, stop and go practice. get better than him. gloat to yourself. our second chair trumpet is a sophomore and our third chair trumpet is a freshman. in a section of 3 seniors, 2 sophomores and 2 freshman(thinks she got that right) maybe he's been playing longer, maybe he takes private lessons. for goodness sakes who cares? well, it shouldn't bother me to much, for I'm in a higher chair than him... but still...

It's not wrong at all....
Age or grade doesn't matter in auditions.
Most highschool honor bands are blind auditions... they give you a number, and don't know if you're a freshman or a junior. They rate you by how you play the CLARINET . Not by age. How you play and how your tone sounds.
Of course, this kid could be taking hour private lessons. I do. They work wonders.
It shouldn't irk you but I understand why it irks YOU. Cause you complain about it. She's just a Fresman too, you don't know the freshman's talent yet. It might seem biased because I beat this Sophomore at my school by one chair and got into two other bands, but when I'm a sophomore and if a Freshman beats me, I'm working my a** off the beat her.
