I saw Twilight again last night, and naturally, the more you see a movie, the more you notice things.
Something I noticed...when Billy and Jacob come to visit Charlie to watch the game (after the glarefest between Edward and Billy), Charlie presents Billy with some beer. Which is fine, but Jacob can't drive yet. And while a lot of people wouldn't care if their buddy had a few beers and then drove home...I would think the chief of police would.
I mean, really, any way I think about it...if Charlie drove Billy's truck home, how would he get home? Bella went to Edward's.
So what do you think? Was movie Charlie bending the rules? Was that just a really big can of soda?

I'm thinking that you should just say to yourself that Billy really only had a few beers, and was under the intoxication limit, or whatever people are calling it these days.
Or you can go for the book explanation. Jacob does all the driving in the book, not Billy, even though he's too young. So, whichever.

In the book Charlie gets upset at Jacob because he is not old enough to drive. Billy says that becuase of his weelchair he needs Jacob to drive him around, and Jacob says that they get permits early on the Res. I just assumed Jacob drove him home, but Billy doesn't seem the type to get trully drunk anyway. That's just my opinion.

Yeah, I really didn't like Billy driving. I mean, how is that possible? One minute he's driving a truck, the next he's being pushed around in a wheelchair. That detail bothered me Dx

it's more likely than not the explaination in the book. i mean heck, some states do allow kids to get their licenses early if they have a parent that can't drive for medical reasons as long as it's the parent their driving. just a little food for thought here.
