HOW TO ASK FOR HELP
Just post in general chat and someone will help you ASAP.
Here are some resources for quick access:
Quests Guide - By Bria
Recipes and Materials Guide - Recipe and Materials
zOMG Wiki - External Link

If you get help there, always remember to show your support by posting a thankyou. This will also bump the thread in a nice way.

Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 - changing default keys for easy play [submitted by glompasaur]
You may have gotten a one-hand bonus set, but the hand has only one attack, and three power up rings. This may stuff up your button pressing for attacking (now you need to reach to button 6 to long range hit!)
To solve this, simply swap your default keys around for Rings 1 - 8. So even though you have rings 1 - 8 in bonus sets, you can still have all your attack keys within easy reach by defaulting the keys to 1, 2 and 3.
Also, you can set three different keys to the one action. I'm not sure what benefit that is, but who knows? You might be able to think of something.

Tip #2 - item drops not great [submitted by glompasaur]
It's tons easier to make a team around the area you are orbing or questing in. You have a greater chance of getting an item drop if you are in a team because you have a chance of getting items every time anyone in your team makes a kill.

Tip #3 - being an idiot about item drops [submitted by glompasaur]
A sly way to get item drops in a crowded area is to equip a long range weapon and hit everything in sight. Then when someone else kills it, you will still be in chance for item drop as you were 'involved in the kill'.
Oh that's right, you can get an item drop chance as long as you hit the bad guy any time during it's life. You don't have to kill it to get the rewards. This helps a lot too if you are training with a friend and helping them level up or vice versa.

Trick #1 - I finished quest X and they told me to come back and I can't talk to them now
For any problem like this including completing quests, starting quests, can't seem to find something (eg - ring, doll chest quest) - problems respawning. Just quit the game. Wait 5/10 minutes and pick a different server (server name is in the top middle of your screen in the game bar).

FAQ

Fox Mouse
Speachless Tiger
wish tree quest... I'm a little lost. How do I help the with the clues they've given?

In order to complete the Wish Tree Quest you have to find the locations in their visions, using them as clues to find these locations. The first is the Old Windmill in the Northeast area of Bass'ken Lake; be careful Flying Pink Giftboxes roam there and can kill you instantly if you're not strong enough.

The second is the Old Aqueduct, all you have to do is follow the dirt path that leads from Gold Beach and pass under the Aqueduct arch. Watch out for Tiny Terror swarms!

The last location is the Lighthouse in the Northwest part of Gold Beach, it should be easy to find and travel if you stay south then go north up the cliff path.

Hope that helps!

FARMING SPOTS - thx Fox Mouse!

Fox Mouse
Okay, here is what I have to offer on Orb Farming. Please keep in mind while reading this post that these are merely tips and suggestions coming from my experiences while playing through the zOMG! game. They're not to be taken as fact, nor am I responsible for low drop rate, sucky crews, battle lag, "kill stealing", crew bullying or ownage by death. heart

Before we get started on locations lets talk a little about Farming How-to and Etiquette.

----------------------------------------

When you've decided you wish to farm an area conn the enemies in the area before hand; conning (pronounced "Cone-ing" I think...) an enemy is paying attention to the colored target markings in the next screen and in the background of a selected enemy's picture. Depending on your own CL the colors will be different, this is the enemy's strength compared to you; indecently this is how you conn other players as well. The color list is as follows: Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, weakest to strongest. In order to farm a location properly the enemies should conn in at either Green or Yellow as these are the colors that offer the best drop rate; Blue is so-so, Purple and Red are next to nothing. If your CL is to high to farm in an area you must lower it by taking off rings which is left to your own transgression; I suggest owning and using a low CL Angel Set for better luck increase while farming. Once that's done pick a spot and start killing things; don't be afraid to get dazed a few times testing the waters, and running from mobs is nothing to be ashamed of. xd

If you've found a spot you like, you're alone with no crew, and another person shows up and starts killing along side you, don't freak out! They are not stealing your kills, likely they're showing you their intent to farm WITH you. Send them a crew invite even before the other person says anything and 7 times out of 10 they'll accept without batting an eye. If they don't accept with or without reason then simply just ignore them and continue to invite or accept any crew invites from any new persons who show up to farm. Farming in crews is better then farming solo, that's just the fact of this game; you get a better drop rate as well as safety in numbers! But what do you do if other players try to farm in the same spot as your crew? Well, I can't tell you what you should do, the debate on "Kill Stealing" is a heavy one and I'm unable to give you a right or wrong answer. All I can do is suggest that you use your best judgment in that situation. sweatdrop

Farming Map Key
  • Red Circle - General Map Square Location
  • Number - Listed Closest to the Null Crystal (Maybe...)
  • Location - Map Name
  • Animated Enemies - Short List of the Animated You'll Encounter in that Spot
  • Spawn Rate - Speed at Which Enemies Respawn
  • Notes - Information on the Farming Spot

Please note that the Shallow Sea map is not listed here as I've yet to reach that map, and I think that's okay. Chances are, if you're that far along in the game, you'll know how to spot a good farming location when you see one. :>

----------------------------------------

User Image -Farming Spot One -
Location: Village Greens
Animated Enemies: Garden Gnome, Garden Gnome Courier, Gnome Patrol Leader
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: This spot usually generates 4 Garden Gnome spawns, however because it's a path many different types of Gnomes pass through this location; some won't attack you unless you aggravate (Standing near/passing them) or attack them first. The Gnome Patrol Leader will attack on sight and has 3 henchmen with him, approach with caution!

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Village Greens
Animated Enemies: Garden Gnome, Garden Gnome Courier, Mushroom Cannons, Lawn Flamingos
Spawn Rate: High

Notes: This spot has a multitude of different enemies, a good location for farming both orbs and items. Gnomes and Flamingos tend to spawn quickly so you don't get much of a break between Mushroom Cannon spawns, which can pack a mean punch for those with low(ered) CL. Be sure to be in a crew of at least 4 or else you may find yourself running around in circles trying to recharge stamina while avoiding being hit. xd

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Village Greens
Animated Enemies: Lawn Flamingos
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: If you're looking to farm just Flamingos this is the spot you want as there is a flock of 7 just waiting for you there, however because it's "behind enemy lines" you may have trouble getting there alone. Flamingos have a kick attack with knock back, so you'll be knocked around a lot if you're not careful. Luckily there is a rest spot far away enough from swarm with in the map square that you can take advantage of.

----------------------------------------

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Bills Ranch
Animated Enemies: Alarmskeeters
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: This spot is a little hard to get to in one piece. If you run from Larry all the way there you'll have at least 7 or 8 Alarmskeeters following you, all of them with a ranged attack! Be in a crew and use Dervish, Fire Rain, Solar Ray, Shark Attack, and any other ranged or AOE rings, which are good to deploy here if you don't mind the lag.

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Bills Ranch
Animated Enemies: Garlics
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: It's important to have a crew of 4+ for this spot as you'll have to travel through other spots full of Garlic to get to it; heal often while traveling, Garlics hit hard. Once you get there though you can expect a spawn of 5 Garlics with a nice rest between them. A good spot to farm both orbs and items with your new higher luck such as Garlic Sprouts which are a rare drop (and a pain in the neck to get I might add). stressed

----------------------------------------

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Zen Garden
Animated Enemies: Kokeshi Dolls
Spawn Rate: High

Notes: This a nice, quiet spot on the Kokeshi Doll marching path that is away from the lag of the Shrine and the dangers of the Cherry Fluffs. Try to stay away from using rings with knock back as the dolls have a stationary ranged attack; being farther away from you just makes killing you easier for them.

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Zen Garden
Animated Enemies: Cherry Fluffs (day), Ghost Lanterns (night)
Spawn Rate: High

Notes: Because of the Ghost Lanterns that appear only at night this spot is a highly prized farming location from 6 PM to 6 AM GST (night time). Their spawning rate is high within the sand pit so it's important to be in a FULL crew when trying to farm this spot; you'll run out of stamina quickly from all the fighting and you'll need someone to cover you if you need to kneel to rest. Watch out for the occasional wandering Nexus enemy! During the day this spot is full of Cherry Fluffs which run at you and explode if you attack them, but with a little patience they can be farmed successfully.

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Zen Garden
Animated Enemies: Taiko Drum
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: Drums! Drums drop a lot of items that are good for many quests in this current zOMG! chapter, from Kin's Quest to Maestro's Quest to Gustav's Quest. They have a knock back attack that's strong so taking them on alone is a bad idea; a crew of 4 should be good enough.

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Bass'ken Lake
Animated Enemies: Mother Fluff Guards, Outlaw Pups, Mother Fluff (Rare Spawn)
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: Mother Fluff Guards and Mother Fluff, who is a rare spawn, are passive enemies; they won't attack you unless you attack first, which allows you and your crew some time to kneel. However if you attack one the whole group will attack you together. You can find a total of 3 Mother Fluff Guards normally, but you'll get an extra set of 3 when the Mother Fluff is around. 4 Outlaw Pups show up on this spot as well and usually mob around the strongest person, so make sure you have a full crew when farming here.

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Bass'ken Lake
Animated Enemies: Buzz Saws
Spawn Rate: High

Notes: The Saw Mill is where almost all Buzz Saws spawn, even a few of the ones that hang around adjacent squares. They spawn in high numbers, one right after another, so it's very important to be in a full crew as your stamina and health can run low real quick! There are also very limited spot where you can rest out of the Buzz Saws' wandering range, so keep on your toes.

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Bass'ken Lake
Animated Enemies: Buzz Saws
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: I would say that this spot is the second best place to farm Buzz Saws, and the reason for that is because it's off the beaten path and away from the Saw Mill so the spawns are independent. You can find 5 Buzz Saws here that move of a predictable path (up and down between trees), so it becomes easy to rest and anticipate when a new Saw spawn will appear. If you get the timing right, you won't need a full crew to farm here.

----------------------------------------

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Old Aqueduct
Animated Enemies: Tiny Terrors
Spawn Rate: High; WARNING ENDLESS SPAWN!!

Notes: DANGER! This spot is known for it's ENDLESS SPAWN of Tiny Terrors! For every one Tiny Terror you kill there are up to THREE waiting to take it's place in the huge mob. Having a full crew is a MUST to farm this location as you can become easily overwhelmed in minuets! Dervish, Fire Rain, and Hornets Nest become your best friends when trying to farm this spot.

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Old Aqueduct
Animated Enemies: Predator Prairie Pups, Predator Squad Leader, Predator Commander
Spawn Rate: High; WARNING ENDLESS SPAWN!!

Notes: DANGER! Another ENDLESS SPAWN farming spot! Originally there are a few Predator Prairie Pups stationed here, however they are sentinels! Aggravate them and they somehow alert other Pups as well as local Squad Leaders to come swarm you, not to mention you're right on the patrol path of the Predator Commander. They possess both close combat attacks as well as ranged attacks so staying and attack from one spot is not advised. Get in their faces! scream

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Old Aqueduct
Animated Enemies: Predator Prairie Pups, Predator Squad Leader
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: Do not be mislead by the Spawn Rate which is listed for this spot, it is still high risk farming. Prairie Pups hide among the trees with their cloaking so when you think you've killed them all another is waiting in the shadows taking shots at you with their lasers!

----------------------------------------

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Gold Beach
Animated Enemies: Sand Fluffs, Anchor Bugs
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: This is a good spot to not only farm orbs, but items and general kill count quests (such as Brodie's Quest) as well. Sand Fluffs are passive enemies, so you can rest among them with your crew until they're ready to take on more killin'. Just keep in mind that Sand Fluffs use Quicksand to make you stuck and ranged attacks, which means try not to use any rings that have knock back. You'll be stuck in the sand while they're to far away to beat up on. gonk

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Gold Beach
Animated Enemies: Sand Castles, Anchor Bugs
Spawn Rate: Low

Notes: This spot get a low Spawn Rating due to the fact that Sand Castles seem to take awhile to spawn compared to their buddies the Anchor Bugs. Another location to farm that helps you complete kill count quests (this time for Ceejay) as well as helps you find items many other items. Something to look out for when taking on Sand Castles: Their attacks have knock back! They can send you flying across the screen with a chunk of your health missing if you're not careful.

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Gold Beach
Animated Enemies: Anchor Bugs
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: The Anchor Bugs along the northern part of the coast are much stronger then their southern kin, so remember to take a rest when you can. To get to this location quickly you can cross through the water without encountering any other enemies; a good way to save up stamina and health.

----------------------------------------

User Image - Farming Spot One -
Location: Otami Ruins
Animated Enemies: Feathered Coatls
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: This spot is a very active one, chances are you'll get two or three extra Feathered Coatls (coupled with the 5 that are already there) following someone from their run either to or from the Blood Tree. They have a wide wandering range so you might not get to rest long between spawns, a crew of 4 or 5 is a good idea.

- Farming Spot Two -
Location: Otami Ruins
Animated Enemies: Tiny Terrors
Spawn Rate: Moderate

Notes: Farming in this spot is a good idea. The Tiny Terrors are habitual: Sentenals alerting a group of three others who come back to fight you. If you stand dead center of the stairs you'll be in the middle of this, so you'll have the enemies coming to you, literally. A full crew is best, as you can get overwhelmed.

- Farming Spot Three -
Location: Otami Runis
Animated Enemies: Tiny Terrors, Witch Doctors
Spawn Rate: High; WARNING ENDLESS SPAWN!!

Notes: What is it about Tiny Terrors and their desire to spawn endlessly? Don't take these guys lightly though just because you might be stronger. They have the animated Witch Doctor making rounds with them on patrol. They're much, much stronger and have a ranged attack that makes you move slower. A full crew is required to take this spot on, chances are once you start killing one group another will show up just as you've run out of stamina!

Rings Guide
CLOSE COMBAT
User Image Bump: Bounce your target back on its keester with a big powerful bump of the hip.
User Image Dervish: Whirling at an incredible speed, the user of this ring deals damage to all opponents within close range at the same time.
User Image Hack: A powerful, close-combat abiilty that does raw damage to an opponent.
User Image Mantis: Project a light sword to swifly cleave through the air at your target.
Dervish: Whirling around at breakneck speed causes a vortex of energy harming everything nearby.
User Image Slash: The blow dealt by this close-combat attack hits all nearby targets in the front arc of the attacker. More powerful than the Mantis attack, but slower.

RANGED COMBAT
User Image Fire Rain: Summon burning rain from the sky to fall in a small area around yourself. All your enemies will suffer from the effects, but your friends will not.
User Image Guns,Guns,Guns: When all else fails, haul out the artillery and drown your target in lead!
User Image Heavy Water Balloon: Balloons filled with some sort of foul concoction are tossed, creating powerful explosions around your chosen target.
User Image Hornets Nest: Hurl a nest of hornets at the ground, creating a swarm that attack any enemies in that area.
User Image Hot Foot: Set your target's feet on fire, causing it pain for several seconds after the attack occurs.
User Image Hunter's Bow: These arrows may not hit particularly hard, but your target won't be able to run as well with the arrows stuck in it.
User Image Shark Attack: Land sharks move through the ground, attacking the target of your choice and usually knocking it back away from you while also doing significant damage.
User Image Shuriken: Hurl sharp spiny objects of pain at your foes, damaging them slightly while also disrupting your opponent and making it hard for them to be accurate with their attacks.
User Image Solar Rays: Focus the power of the sun into a beam that can reach out and touch your target, giving it a powerfully nasty sun burn.

DEFENCE
User Image Improbability Sphere: A personal force field that can deflect attacks away, or even reflect it back on its attacker. How? Very, very improbably...
User Image Pot Lid: When someone is shooting at you from range, try using the Pot Lid to deflect the incoming attacks and keep them from hitting you at all. NOTE: Deflection occurs fairly often, and prevents a large portion of the damage from hitting you when it does activate.
User Image Rock Armor: Cover each of your allies in Rock Armor to give them protection that reduces incoming damage until the effect expires.
User Image Teflon Spray: It's hard for damage to stick to you when you're covered in Teflon. This effect reduces incoming damage *and* adds a chance that any incoming attack will be deflected.
User Image Turtle: The Turtle shell can absorb very large impacts without letting anything through, but only lasts for a short duration.

CROWD CONTROL
User Image Duct Tape: Wrap your target up and keep it from moving. NOTE: Hitting a target while it is taped will weaken the tape and allow it to move again.
User Image Gumshoe: Make a target's feet sticky by gumming them to the ground and slowing them down substantially.
User Image Quicksand: Cause the ground at an area to become mostly water, trapping your enemies where they stand.
User Image Scaredy Cat: Something about the vibrations of the cat screeches this ring emits causes targets to run in panic when they hear it.
User Image Taunt: Are your friends in trouble? Do you want to distract those enemies to keep your friends safe? Try this baby on for size.

HEALING
User Image Bandage: When you Bandage yourself or your allies, they heal some damage every couple of seconds until the bandage has absorbed as much as it can.
User Image Defibrillate: A way to Awaken a Dazed ally. With a big, powerful K-zAP! When used on a Dazed ally, this ring allows you to Awaken them. The more rage used to power this effect, the more ring slots will be available to them after they are Awakened.
User Image Diagnose: A quick heal that affects you and your allies in the immediate area.
User Image Divinity: This ring summons lifeforce energy to increase the rate at which you regain Stamina, even during combat!
User Image Healing Halo: Create this halo over you and your nearby allies. You will all then regenerate health more quickly, even during combat!
User Image Meat: The effect of Meat is to increase your target's maximum health beyond normal and restore that many health points at the same time. This can be used on yourself, as well as others.
User Image Wish: When your friends are wounded, you will often wish they weren't hurt so they could protect you from harm. This ring lets that happen. Cast it on any of your allies to heal up some of the damage they're suffering.

STATUS CHANGERS
User Image Adrenaline Use this to give your allies a quick burst of adrenaline so they can more easily dodge incoming attacks.
User Image Coyote Spirit: Use this ring to imbue any individual with faster footspeed. This can be used in conjunction with Fleet Feet for very fast bursts of speed.
User Image Fleet Feet: Sometimes, you just need to get away. Use this ring to make you, and any allies in the immediate area, move more quickly. This can be used in conjunction with Coyote Spirit for very fast bursts of speed.
User Image Ghost: Not every challenge should be met with force. Disappear from view with this ring to avoid trouble. You become slightly ethereal and matter occasionally, well, it passes through you in a fairly disturbing fashion. Basically, you get missed more when using this ring.
User Image Iron Will: If you're being slowed, charmed, slept, or attacked by any willpower-based ability, Iron Will creates a fortress around your mind that keeps those effects from taking hold of you. Additionally, since it makes your mind stronger, you can use those same abilities against monsters with greater effect. This can be used on you and any of your allies.
User Image Keen Aye: This ring helps you determine exactly where to attack so you hit more often. This can only be used on yourself.
User Image Knife Sharpen: This ability focuses the combat abilities of any of your allies like the razor-sharp edge of a blindingly sharp knife. This cannot be used on yourself.
User Image My Density:
Are you getting knocked all over the place by monsters? Would you like to weigh more to prevent that without losing your svelte figure? Do it by increasing the density of your body with this ring. This ring can be used on you and any of your allies.
