First thing's first: I haven't been on in a while because i was/am grounded. My dad is giving me some leeway so I have a little bit of time on.
#1: My friend Josh sent me a text the other day saying that he is not coming to church anymore and that he is done with God. I tried to pry a reason out of him, but he wouldn't budge. I've told him that I support him and asked my sunday school teacher to contact him. I told him that I'm there if he needs it and i don't know what else to do than to simply pray. I feel that there is more that i can do, but I don't know what!!
#2: I am a senior in high school, and with that comes many changes that are hard to accept. I have decided on what i want to do: I am going to join the US Army as a firefighter (if they have an opening) or an EMT. The Army will take care of me that way by providing for me. The other day i made probably my biggest decision so far shy of accepting Christ. I gave my girlfriend a ring. I didn't propose, but instead gave her the engagement ring on a chain as a kind of sign for what I want. We have talked about it for some time, but this is a huge step. The only reason I didn't actually propose is because she is a year behind where she should be because of her past (not in her power). She is my first girlfriend and I am her first boyfriend. We have been dating for three years come February and have only been kissing since early this year. We are very committed to each other and we both have no doubt that we were ment to be. I am just asking for prayer and support for our futures. I am enlisting later this year and don't have long untill i'm done with school. It's kinda scary looking at it and I don't want to grow up....

Hey, I've only been back for a little bit, and haven't had time to look over all the posts yet.
Well, since I don't really know this guy, I can't really give you the best advice on how to handle the situation. But as a general rule, don't try to be overbearing, and insist he come back to church. That may only drive him further away. Is there anything bad going on in his life that could possibly have turned him away?
Also, it's good to hear you've got a solid plan for your future, and you've found someone who is committed to sharing that future with you. It's so cute! biggrin heart ...I mean, ahem. sweatdrop Anyway, I know how you feel about graduating. I'm in the same boat. So fresh, so fine. Oh what? Oh nine! Seniors Rule! whee I'm thinking about becoming a teacher just so I can stay in school for the rest of my life...
Just know we'll be praying for you.

[.L.O.S.E.R.] Also, it's good to hear you've got a solid plan for your future, and you've found someone who is committed to sharing that future with you. A little update: my friend, Josh, came Wednesday to church, but he sat alone at a table in the back on purpose to avoid people and I think he was listenening to an iPod for a little bit. My Sunday School teacher talked to him afterwards, so I'm not sure what's up. BTW, I love you're oh nine chant. we just chant oh nine a lot.... crying we do have a REALLY vulgar class shirt that a cliche of kids made themselves that say "we started out on the buttom, but now we're on top. Now it's time to pull out." Really disgusting shirt, but that's what a lot of kids chant.... disgusting....

Well, at least he came, which is a step in the right direction.
Yeah, that is pretty disgusting. It's such a shame kids think that's cool. Last year I was shopping with my cousin and I saw a girl with a shirt that said "Kiss My Class Goodbye!" and then 08 on the back. I thought it was clever.
