Been a Bit Busy
Though I haven't written much in awhile, but that's because I've been busy. I was finishing my thesis for my Masters, and this December I finally graduated! Julie's been as supportive as he usually is; typical Julie. He was always looking over my shoulder at my articles and later my laptop and adding his own comments. I didn't hold him too accountable. I would say "What does a plant know about human resources and managermy", but he really is intelligent.
I've been taking care of Julie and his sprout for some time, and I am really feeling that there are results. Between the attention I've been giving it and the nature of the natural world, his little sprout has grown. It know reaches about my hip. Julie still looks the same. I've brought him some clothes and he's really taken a liking to them. He seems to enjoy dark colors more, but will sometimes wear lighter tanks and tee's to contrast. I don't know what is up, but he demands pockets and straps everywhere he can manage them. Every so often, I see him sneaking little things in there. I have no idea what he does with them, though.
His 'home' has grown too. Julie keeps it pretty big. I know when his tree gets bigger, he'll migrate into the branches, as he's said as much. For now, he stays in the mulch. I honestly don't know what's in there, he won't tell me. I won't break it open either, I respect him at least that much. I mean, I wouldn't like it if someone broke into my home just for curiosity's sake. For now, I'm leaving it, unless he gives me reason to doubt his intentions.
But... I have gotten side-tracked. After graduating, Songjewel gave me a job here at the Aboretum. I can be closer to Julie and spend more time with him as well. He seems to think that my job will give him special rights; so it should be interesting when he won't get any special treatment.
So, recently, my time has been spent moving in to my office and organizing my duties. I had my first interview: with a Mr. Ian Drayton and Cannabis.
