Yea Yea Japanese made i know, but THERE NOT ALL PIECES OF JUNK!!

(my rx is the only crappy Ibanez i've ever played)
*note* most of ibanez'z guitars come in Prestige and multitudes of number based models. My own is the Ibanez 570 (witch is no longer in production

STARTING!

Ibanez RG: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

this is my favorite Ibanez other than the signature models.
Its one of the most versitile models they make.

it has a 7 string and 8 string model.
a fixed bridge model, 1way tremello model and can be ordered with a Floyd Rose Based, Ibanez Edge, locking tremello. Another popular option are the EMG active pickups (witch kick a** btw).

NEXT
Ibanes S: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

note the more curvy style of the S from the RG. Joe Satriani and Herman Li prefer the lightweightness of it and the curves, but i'll get to him later.
(i perfer angles and points)
once again they come in S, S prestige, S Trem, SV prestige, and SA
the SV has up clicking knobs that switch the humbuckers into single coils. AND THESE THINGS R LIGHT AND THIN AS HELL. there half the width and weight of the RG (witch makes them easily broken i would assume).

Midget
Ibanez Mikro:User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

these things are TINY. and aimed at children who want to learn. i have played one of these for sheer amusement and it actualy didn't sound bad.

Next on the list
Ibanez X (aka Xiphos):User Image

Extravogently shaped with a reversed headstock these include all of the features of the other models (floyd rose, Dimarzzio pickups, 7 string model, ect, ect.)

And Moveing on,
Ibanez X DT User Image
A Custom Gibraltar bridge, ti DiMarzzio ActivatorX pickups, and an Explorer reminant body style, its one of Ibanez's newest guitars to hit market.

Another New instrument releaced for the new year,
Ibanez XP User Image

A Revamped X version body style, along with DiMarzzio D-Activator Bucker and DiMarzzio Air Norton single coil, optional Ibanez Edge Tremm and all the doodads and whatzitz you need. The pic ur lookin at is of the 27 fretted X model, yes i said 27 fretts, thats 3 more than a typical ibanez neck and 5 more than a Les Paul, makes for interesting music i bet.

Possibly my favorite Ibanez ever,
Ibanez ICEMAN: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

THE ICEMAN IS BACK AT LAST!
after sam totman's signature series was let off the chain Ibanez decided to let the iceman come back.

has all the features, EMG's, Floyd Rose, WizardII thru-neck (no bolted on necks hear) standard pickups are dimarzzio activators.

A New Model,

Ibanez FR, User Image

A Jumbo 24 Fretted neck, A Tele-esk bodym and 2 Ibanez CCR Calm Crusher pickups with a 5-way switch let them switch from single coil mode for soft twang and back to Rauchy Heavy Hums for serious Rock.

Ibanez Signature Models:

Ibanez JEM:User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Designed by Steve Vai himself the Jem features DiMarzzio evolution pickups witch were also designed for Steve. The lion's claw depressions were carved out by steve on his origanal guitar and mimiked into his signature.

they let you pull alot farther back on the tremmelo (witch has broken numerous strings no doubt)

Jem also comes in the Universe model witch is a 7 string.

AND NEXT!

Ibanez JS:User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
(its alot so i just copied and pasted from ther web site)

# Multi-radius Prestige neck (JS1000/JS1200) is an exact digital rendering of the neck on Joe’s favorite axe.

# High pass filter on JS1000 and JS1200 volume pots maintains highs at low volumes.
# Combination of 25 1/2” inch neck scale and DiMarzio or Ibanez Axis pickups provides wide dynamic range and versatility.

# New JS20TH celebrates 20th anniversary of "Surfing With the Alien" CD and 20 years with Ibanez, features special 3D Silver Surfer graphic inlay, JS Prestige neck,DiMarzio® PAF Pro® and Fred® pickups.

# JS20S features Surfer graphic (decal), IBZ pickups and Edge III bridge.
I played one of these one time and it seems Joe took the tremmello and changed it up a bit, he took the versitility of the rose and made it all downforce, AKA: you can't pull back on this one but it drops the note farther than any other Trem on Ibanez guitars.

NEXT

Ibanez EGEN:User Image
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Herman Li's Ibanez includes a full rangeing set of Ibanez SV styled pickup selection, 21-24'th frets are scalloped, DiMarzzio HLM (Herman Li Model) pickups, low profiled single coil pickup for serious picking, and the cut out hand grip on the upper arm for slinging the guitar around while holding the tremmelo for a unique sound. The EGEN is baces off of the body of the Ibanez SA.

AND MY FAVORITE SIGNATURE MODEL!

Ibanez STM: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The Sam Totman Signature Iceman.

He uses Vai's signature DiMarzzio Evolution pickups, an Ibanez Edge III Trem, and a custom STM WizardII Thru-Neck
Otherwise its just a regular Iceman.

The Paul Gilbert Model (PGM):User Image
User Image

A custom PGM neck, DiMarzzio PAF Classic pickups, A custom wireing setup witch i shall have to show you to understand.User Image A custom Triburst finish, and Paul's signature F-Hole paint job.

The only Ibanez guitars that are truly great guitars are the Ibanez EGEN and the Steve Vai. I do own a model of each of those guitars and I love shredding on them. The Iceman is also a decent guitar. But truly the only reason Ibanez is at all a popular brand is because thay offer inexpensive models that young metal enthusiats can afford. I'm not putting down Ibanez though.

hell ya and there both awsome guitars, but there not good for much more than solos because the rythm pickups dont work that well on drop tunings for some reason making them not the greatest guitars for metal orientated rythem althougth they are each defianatly shredmaster guitars lol

I have an Ibanez RGEX2, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think I will be needing a new guitar for quite some time; it is basically all I have ever wanted from an electric guitar, and it was only $300. I would like to have a Floyd-Rose, but it's not essential, and other than that, it's pretty much perfect.

My favorite Ibanezs are the Steve Vai Signature and the Mick Thompson signature. I like other Ibanezs but those 2 are my favorite. I currently own a Ibanez RG120.
