Welcome to a Curious Quest

So you've stumbled upon my quest for two very unique and uncommon creatures within the ElderSpark world, haven't you? Yes well, everyone at some point or another will reach for the stars... and so here is my thread; where I've succumbed to questing for both an Ursari and Dranali. A most difficult undertaking to be sure, given their respective rarities.

He wears crudely made trinkets . . .

K' liym
(Kay - leeM)

    Family: Pitivo

    Gender: male

    Stage: Journeyman

    Trade: Weapons' smith
    Seller of: Singing Blades
    "Buy one of his bladed weapons, if you know what's good for you;
I have yet to see any smithy match him in skill
when it comes to forging a blade as smooth as silk,
light as a Kunkun, and sturdy as an adult Dranali..
And the sharpness of those shining blades!
My boy~ they all but sing when they cut through the air or what-have-you!
Ahah! That's why they named the wares he sells the Singing Blades afterall!"

    Appearance:
    Eyes: narrowed and gold

Horns: smooth, sloping, and a dark, shining crimson

Hairstyle: plain black, pin-straight hair that is pulled back into a simple pony-tail (he did not relish the thought of having his hair catch fire every time he bent over the hot coals and molten metals he worked with.)

Other: possessing heavily-tanned skin, this Ursari scarcely looks like the majority of his species due to sheer amount of muscle his body steadily developed over the years. But as his bulk was earned through his trade, he also carries a few scars because of it too- they are an infrequent smattering of old cuts and burns. His brow is fairly prominent, which serves to stand out a little more due to being blessed with a matching pair of thick-black eyebrows... He also has a neatly-trimmed, short-cropped goatee which serves to give him a slightly more sophisticated look despite his borderline-Neanderthal brow and back-breaking trade as a weapons' smith. As for his tail- it's much like a lion's, with a matching tuft of black hair at its tip.

Position/Expression: his expression would be very calm, his gaze steady, and the rest of him standing tall and proud. He'd either have his monster of a hammer slung over one broad shoulder, or use it as a resting prop for his hands when taking in the lay of the land.

Outfit: a wide, black leather 'belt' or 'corset' is tied to his lower midsection, acting as a back brace when he performs heavy lifting. Across it are three more belts of varying shades of reddish-brown, each one holds tools of his trade, each of varying shape and size. He wears dark-brown leather breeches that possess rough stitching/lacing up the sides with two to three black straps across either thigh which hold pouches which contain a few personal trinkets and maybe a precious stone or three.

Items: An over-sized sledge-hammer he uses as either a weapon or a tool when crafting larger blades.

    Additional:

    Personality:
K' liym is a solemn Ursari that is highly dedicated to his craft, he's often found working on his latest commission or newest design. When outside the hot fires of the forge, K' liym is reputably a fair businessman who most notably, tends to reward repeat customers with new blades and weapons for them to field test.

Outside of his chosen trade, K' liym is an easy enough fellow to get along with; if you do not find yourself intimidated by his large and domineering appearance, first. Of course, there are times when he does come off as a bit cold or distant, but such is due to his quiet and collected nature.

Being a fair businessman, a good and honest individual, and a Pitivo most dedicated to his craft... it does make one wonder as to what faults he must have. And aside from his scarred and brutish appearance, their are a dangerous few character flaws he possesses that have since made more than a few Ursari stray far from his company outside of brief business-related dealings.

K' liym has no moral compass.

He is not bothered by the thought that his weapons do not always go to good-hearted or well-intentioned people. He does not feel guilt at knowing that his blades have ended the lives of many undeserving and perfectly innocent creatures. Simply, he does not see the world in terms of good or evil. What he does see, is just what he accepts as is- for he feels no passion for either side's plight.

    K' liym is self-serving.

Outside of Vicar, K' liym cares for no one and no particular thing. He lives to learn more about his trade so he may apply this knowledge to his next crafted weapon so that he, and he alone will produce only the best and finest blades in all the many worlds so that in the end, he will have left his mark upon each and every one of them.

. . . yet creates such fine tools of war.

None could ever be so loyal and faithful as he...

Vicar

    Species: Dranali
    Type: Arcane

    Gender: male

    Stage: Adult

    Style: Burning Runes

    Appearance:
    Eyes: narrowed and burning red
Face: pale with ice blue overtones

Horns: 'cracked' with molten lava (color wise)

Hairstyle/Fur Color: plain black and slicked back, borderline 'windblown'

Top: dark crimson, gives off that 'glowing' appearance when the light hits the scales at a certain angle- more like each scale closely resembles a shining ruby? Something to that effect...

    Underlay: pale, smooth gold

Base Edits: 'burned' rune marks littering his body (which may or may not efffect the base lineart considering their placement)

Items: a saddle and reins (maybe,)

    Additional:
Vicar has a series of runic symbols that have been burned into his body (for reasons unknown, they did not scar normally, instead continuing to appear as if they were fresh and still burning themselves into his flesh.) Each symbol is unique in both its placement, combination, and its repetition. Here is what they might perhaps mean...

Eihwaz: is the fifth rune in the second aett and is considered the most powerful of them all; it represents longevity and death. Which perhaps makes it both strange yet fitting for it's placement is upon Vicar's brow. Perhaps it is a means of deciphering this Dranali's quiet yet fierce personality?

Ansuz: is the fourth rune in the first aett; It represents Odin, the leader of the Norse gods and symbolizes knowledge, wisdom, and the power of communication. He has three of these runic symbols, one branded on each cheek near the corner of his eyes and one on the underside of his tongue. Perhaps it is to mean that through his eyes, he holds untold wisdom of the ages? Or that one should be wary when conversing with him in terms of negotiations?

Thurisaz: is the third rune of the first aett. It is shaped like a thorn; and like a thorn it is a protective rune. It directs defensive energy and protection against attack, both physical and mental. Vicar has six of these symbols upon his body, two on each horn, and one on each forepaw. Doubtlessly these symbols allude to his over-protective habits where K'liym is concerned...

Gebo: is the seventh rune in the first aett; it is the rune of giving and connection. It relates to all matters of exchange between two people and harmonizes their energies. It is most apparent as to what this one means, for it is branded in the center of his chest.

Hagalaz: is the first rune of the second aett; it means hailstone and relates to disruptive and impersonal forces- sudden transformation, positive or negative, can occur. This rune appears on Vicar in four different places, one on each upper forearm and on each thigh. This rune is not one of easy interpretation given its placement and dual nature. But it could be a key as to how he allows himself to be perceived in the eyes of K'liym and the eyes of others when the little Ursari is not present...

Aligiz: is the seventh rune in the second aett; it symbolizes the tremendous resistance power of the elk and is a powerful protection rune.
It provides a potent shield around a wearer’s body and is often used as protection against any kind of danger. Vicar has a line of these runes running from the base of his neck all the way down the length of his body and the tip of his tail. Could it not be interpreted as an attempt to protect the weakest parts of his body due to their comparably softer flesh than that of the tough scales upon his back?
