When expansions come out. I am so sick of people linking new weapons they got that are upgrades and have "good" stats.
WE ******** GET IT, GEAR IS BETTER IN NEW EXPANSION. SHUT THE ******** UP.

lol, I've only found one upgrade so far ^_^
but that may be because I refuse to take pure stam/tons of spell power/stam sprit tons of spellpower gear as upgrades. If it doesn't have int, I'm not taking it. That + BT/hyjal/t5 instances gear.....

We actually have a rule in our guild. We don't really tend to link epics in guild chat. We can talk and say "Oh, got an upgrade". People can ask for the link in whispers. We just try to leave it out of Gchat. And politics. Politics are teh suck.

It's a habit in our guild that after every boss kill in instances we post what they drop, even if it's just a standard instance run not a raid.
Otherwise, yeah.. We get the occassional question asking "What's better this or that?" and not much else.
Lotsa dings lately though. I find dings more annoying than "OMFG LUK WAT DRUPT!"

It's not even drops though. People freak out about quest rewards.
And people link it to each other and say "Look at this:", on items that aren't even for their class, trying to make people be... impressed? I don't even ******** know what their attempt is, it's just ******** annoying.
I really don't mind people linking drops from instances or whatever, but jesus christ. After the 20th time someone links a staff from a level 75 quest, it starts to get annoying.

My guild doesn't have a problem with loot linking... Its QQ that's our problem. "LAAAAGGGGGG" "THIS QUEST SUCKS" "IT WONT DROP" "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG" "GAH HORDE ARE GANKING" "THIS PLACE IS BORING" That's all that takes place in my guild chat these days -.-

Yeah its hella annoying but you give it another week, it'll be gone.
I was there for OL when it launched and this new s**t still blows my mind, its awesome.

Yeah, it's nice being the Gm of a small guild, so I can choose who I want in. No annoying people that way. And don't give me s**t about raids. I don't care about them.

What gets annoying is before each boss encounter, someone in raid or group says, "some1 link what this boss drops." (Uhh..........L2 Atlas loot and L2 spell).
Then when something they need that he drops, they link again and are like, "I hope [X name whateva] drops!!!!!!1!!!one!!!111"

My response, as always, to people who QQ about items being linked is -STFU and level. Our guild is cutting lose anyone who isn't 75 by December 20th to our alt guild, and by January the 1st, no one below 80 or they go to the alt guild. Raiding guild raids, nuff said.
Don't like it, not your guild. Its how Uroburos roles, it worked in BC, and it works now.
