I'm using a 4C yamaha mouthpice that came with my instrument when I bought it a year ago, and it's what the other saxes call "Too soft". I'm looking for a mouthpice that produces a rich and not to bright sound for jazz band. If you have any advice or any suggestions on what I should try out, I'll be more then happy. Holy crap i cant believe i missed this thread! Meyer is a good mouthpiece to start with. So you want something not too bright? What kind of reeds are you playing on?

I never played in Jazz Band, but I'ved played some jazz pieces. I've played a christmas jazz piece called "Jingle bell Jazz".
