"In all the years he's been here, No one has come to see Godric save doctors." The young nurse looked at the man suspiciously as she lead him down the hall of the asylum. "And you're not a doctor, are you?"
"No." Was all he said. She didn't like the look of him. His long, bleach blonde hair was back in a ponytail, and he was entirely dressed in black, including trench coat. But the thin, emerald green snake twined around his arm was what really made her nervous. Outside the ward, she stopped. "There is already a doctor inside, you'll have to wai-"
"That is quite alright. You may go now." Something about his voice made her eyes widen, and then she turned and walked away as if in a dream. He turned to the door, and opened it.
A large, fat man was sitting across from a thin, red headed youth, who couldn't have been older then twenty-five. When the door opened, the fat one looked up, but the thin one didn't even twitch.
"Hey, uh we're kinda bus-"
"You are going to leave now. Your wife is dreadfully ill. You must go home immediately."
At the sound, the red head did turn, a surprised look on his face. The other got up and hurried out, muttering.
"How could I have forgotten? Poor Emily..." The blonde man shut the door behind him.
"Who are you...?"
"My name is Salazar, Godric." He turned to look at Godric, his eyes were yellow-green. Just like the snake's. "And I'm here to tell you something." Salazar Slytherin said, quite simply.
"If you came to tell me I'm crazy, you can save your breath." Godric growled. "They've informed me of it many times over."
"That's not why I'm here." He walked slowly around the room till he was facing Godric. "Godric Gryffindor, you're not crazy."
"Really?" The other sounded sceptical. No one ever said this would be easy... Salazar thought. "Yes." He said aloud. "I know because I'm different. Like you."
"I don't want to be different."
He sounds so sure of it. Salazar sighed, this was going to be hard. Very hard. The snake slithered up to his shoulder.
Prove it to him...
"Listen, Godric, has anything ever happened, when you're angry, or scared? Anything strange?"
"I set a man on fire once."
"Physically?"
"No. I just thought it would be really great if his coat caught on fire, and then... Well, it did."
"There, see. You're different whether you want to be or not."
"I don't need to be different." Godric said coldly. "I can do plenty on my own. For example..." He moved too fast for Salazar's eyes to register what he was doing in time. In a few seconds, Godric had him on the ground, with one hand holding his throat just tight enough that it hurt to breathe. "... I could kill you right now." The snake let out an angry hiss, and moved to bite Godric, but Salazar hissed something in reply, and it backed off, looking disgruntled to the degree that a serpent can. Gryffendor's hold tightened.
