-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
I'd suggest not linking back to her blog, it'll just give her more hits.
But yeah;; we saw that back then. :/ Her "friend" who recorded that claimed she just caught it at the moment it happened, but it was obviously planned if you go BACKSTAGE with her. And the whole sound editing and stuff was so stupid and fake. After getting bashed on Youtube for having that video, months later the lady 'apologized' for it. I dunno if she's really seeing how she is or not, but it's whatever.
What ticked me off the most was that her stupid followers BELIEVED that crap, and praised her for it. It's ******** ridiculous. Part of her excuse for doing that was being a gothic lolita and going against things but trying to sabotage a planned fashion show to get your c**k stroked by the media there and whatnot is beyond low. You don't make an excuse of your immaturity and stupidity because of a fashion style. Fashion does not dictate your actions. Apparently people from Associated Press and CosmoGirl was there, but when they went up to the GLB editors they simply told them what happened and they ignored it. So in the end she didn't get anything anyways :/

@amanikitty
I see. I'm sorry if I offended you with the bitches comment, I was having a bad day myslef, still I shouldn't have said it. My point was if you don't know the woman don't say anything, but since you have an expirience with her you have a right to complain. I was bringin religion in in the sence that some people think they have a right to judge others becaus their "god" gives them the right to look on others sins and push it back in their face. (I'm in a christian school its kinda shoved in my face everyday)

Am I the only one who would like to make friends with Japanese lolitas? Like a pen pal sort of thing?

I would like to make friends with Japanese lolitas too and look at their forums (but I don't know where they are). I don't want a pen pal though, I am useless at keeping up with those.

You can probably look on various pen-pal websites. o3o See if there is anyone who says they are interested in the fashion.

Hmm pen pal websites, I didn't know those existed (yet again, I'm not surprised they do exist either).

I've been on like one Pen Pal site (I forgot what the hell the url was), and I had a Pen Pal from Seoul, South Korea and while we had our casual conversation, I was also helping him with English so he would be able to pass whatever English finals exams they have over there for college. mad

There used to be an LJ community for lolita penpals, but I think that was still mostly western lolitas, unfortunately. ):

I'm glad someone's posted something like this. Too often we obsess over these "Rules". Yes there has to be some sort of rules, because as others have said, dressing up in a tube top and Daisy Duke's and calling it lolita isn't correct. But there are no set rules to how to dress lolita. Personally, I like character tees with lolita skirts. It shows of my style and personality--frilly and lacey topped off with some sort of lame pun. I think that's what it's about, appreciating the cuteness, while throwing yourself into the mix.

I think that's what it's about, appreciating the cuteness, while throwing yourself into the mix. Unfortunately, and I feel a need to point this out and probably will remove the thread in retrospect, the girl who started this topic was fake/lying. She was using photos stolen from a Japanese girl's blog [who apparently doesn't consider herself lolita about 90% of the time] to pass herself off as knowledgeable about the scene. Most of what she's said has actually been discussed elsewhere with girls who have lived in Japan, and apparently the attitude she has proclaimed as common to Japanese lolitas is entirely false.
They've got their wank communities and rules, and some of them are worse even then ours. Hell, they make fun of Bodyline even more regularly than the Western communities, and wearing replicas is banned at official brand events. ^^;
