NOTE: All but "Hybrid No More" were written late last night, so they may not be as well as the first, or make as much sense, but I do like them and they do intertwine with one another, though I have recently edited the last three poems. Feel free to critique.
Hybrid No More (#1)
Longing for the past unknown,
A story kept in secret stone.
A hybrid girl forever walks in shadows,
A fire like grave dug much to shallow.
Angelic - Demonic, Light yet Dark,
Alone she stands waiting to hark
Warnings of destruction and death,
Breathing poison with every last breath.
A life once lived, another gone by,
Loved ones gone forever, sigh,
If it were true, rebirth from the past
To start anew and rebuild at last!
Four stand together, one as though all,
Within holds a power willing to crawl
Past lies, past pain, the sorrow of destiny
Only to reach her last breath of ecstasy...
Hybrid Love Lust (#2)
Two forever, live as though one;
Burning, burning, bright as the sun.
Yet the past remains as memories ignite,
A caring companion never to lose fright.
Within this world, two minds collide
As a personal vengeance coincides
Through out the years, guiding a heart
In two directions, ripping desperately apart.
What's to lose if I've lost my way,
Fallen in love and gone astray?
Nightmares vanish as sweet whispers echo
Of a midnight crush never to up and go.
Yet here we are, without a plan,
Waiting for the night to expand
Into something between you and I,
A secret bonding for which we will lie.
A Hybrid's Only Fear (#3)
Where have you gone? I am alone,
It is dark, I am cold, am I stone?
Far to many nightmares have returned,
As your words echo the lessons I've learned.
Timeless lessons of love, lessons of hate,
Moments of darkness when it was all to late.
Torment and death course in my veins,
Bleeding out, painting marvelous stains.
A night of wonder soon vanishes to mist,
A night of satisfaction to soon be missed
As the years proclaim the torment,
Misery, and nights willing to repent.
Yet here I sit alone, I sit here lost,
Wishing our paths would have crossed
Before the end, before the new,
So I would not fear my love for you.
Hybrid Finale (#4)
To the battle we've been called at last!
Oh quite ready to hear our deadly blasts!
Onward I scurry, weapon in hand,
Prepared to take my final stand.
I fight alongside you, and you along I;
Now I question you, friend, ready to die?
The truth remains as we say our good-bye's,
Our hearts will survive past these mortal lies.
Battle is fearless, our strength remains pure,
As blood waters the earth, our powers stir.
The question remains of a Hybrid Goddess:
As her life wears thin, what are her losses?
Are they pride or love? Strength or hope?
Though we shall never know the full scope,
For the heart of this hybrid will never be forgot,
Years will span till her killer is sought.
