Well I have another problem. I just need someone to rant to and get advise to but anyways. My cousin is in serious debt he's suing(I think thats how you spell it) but yeah he's suing this judge and the cops want to throw him in jail. So what happens is every day they make him pay a certain amount of cash just so he doesn't go to jail. So today he came over asking me for 60 bucks. So he took it from me which I regret giving him because I needed that cash. Now my question is: is there anything he can do or any of us can do to stop them from taking any more money from him?

I don't quite fully understand how he's paying money to stay out of jail on a daily basis. Usually, if someone's been arrested they can post bail, but that's a one-time fee. Unless he's paying some sort of kickback, he shouldn't be paying anything to stay out of jail.
Now, it's quite possible that he's telling you all a lie to sucker money out of you.

Unless he's paying some sort of kickback, he shouldn't be paying anything to stay out of jail. Now, it's quite possible that he's telling you all a lie to sucker money out of you. yeah I dont think its right to do that either. I just want him to be left alone is all and they ask him for cash almost every day. I feel really bad for him and the government is behind it all too I bet.

Yeah something doesn't seem right or truthful about that story. I don't think he is telling you everything and I wouldn't give him any more money unless you actually find out what's going on.

I doubt that's actually legal... it's probably more likely that your cousin is just trying to get cash out of you.

Weeelll, is he having to pay a probation officer, pay off outstanding fines, or perhaps make payments to a bail bondsman?
'Cause those are about all the legal ways that the legal system can make you pay to stay out of jail. Otherwise your cousin is either bilking you or the cops are being shiesty.

Paying a fine every day...? I've never heard of anything quite like that... it sounds as if your cousin is just trying to get money out of you. Don't give him any more, no matter what he tells you. If he pushes it out of you, say you're not doing anything until he shows you court documentation. If he does provide you with this, make photocopies and take it to your local police station or court to verify it's not a false document.
The easiest thing to do though, would just be to refuse him money.

Is it possible he's borrowing money for his debt problems and he's just saying to you he needs the money to stay out of jail.
