I don't mind helping out, but I think I might be in too many role plays at the moment as it is.

Before you really consider making a role play, I would take in and answer these questions first: (optional of course, but might be helpful)
1. What interests you? Fantasy, horror, romance, school drama, Sci-fi, etc.

2. How do you wish to present this world? Are you going to play the role of director or be a player within the role play and just see where things go? If you direct, you can gain more control over the role play and story and will control all NPCs within the story, however for this to work, you need a good story to work with. If you are a player, you can set up the world and story and see where everyone takes it from there. Your an active player at this point and lose a lot of control over the role play, but get to join everyone in it as well.

3. What would you expect to see from fellow role players? Complete sentences? Full Paragraphs? Anything they want? This determines what level of role players you are looking for.


Those where the basics really. Once you have decided on something for the role play, then your off to world creation, which depends upon how you plan to run the role play. One step at a time though... and a world can always be made on the go as well.

And you might want to consider whether you want your rpers to make their own characters, or to follow yours. Part of that consideration would be whether you want a character- or plot-driven RP. For a beginner at running them, I'd suggest a plot-driven RP. It's easier; you just need to figure out a broad idea of what you want to happen. Big Bad Monster, natural disaster, quest, etc, a reason for everyone to go do something. In that case you'd probably want to have your rpers design their own characters, since they know what they do best. If you're doing a character-driven RP - things happen because of the way they interact- you'll probably want to design at least a few characters for people, but loosely enough so the changes that happen don't throw you off. For character-driven, you also probably want a more advanced group, since it requires more fleshing out of the characters.

Personality: Timid and quite the loner. Doesnt like to fight or even associate with other people unless absolutely necessary.

Background: No one knows who Sypher is or where she came from, she was found by the side of a lake completely unconscious. She does not know who she is either. She has a tattoo on her right hand that has the letters S.Y.P.H.E.R. spelled out on it, thus she took that as her name.

Powers: Not yet known. she carries a giant shuriken on her back which is believed to be her main weapon.

Appearance:

Personality: Ivy is a very kind woman who wants to do nothing more but to run her store and help out customers whenever she can.

Background: Although she is not a fighter, now, ivy is not defenseless. She is ex-military special forces and she is not above getting dirty whenever someone tries to interfere with her business.

Powers: Special military training. She carries a small yet powerful blade named Ikaru (unknown to Kurenai) on her back.

Interesting fact: Has unknown ties to the now all but extinct Ikaru family.
