Sam looked down at his watch out of a careless curiosity, and subtly gasped. He'd completely missed his last class, having been so preoccupied with learning and discussing with Ella.
She saw that change in his demeanor, not to mention his reddening cheeks.
"Sorry, missed a lecture. They don't take attendance, but still. Missed it..." A happy smile and another shrug said it was alright, though. He'd just get notes from a friend. "I didn't keep you from anything, did I?"

" Oh, I'm sorry to have kept you." She said, assuming a contrite look.
" I didn't mean to, I was just..really enjoying the conversation." She reddended as well.
" But, no, you didn't keep me. Danni, Alex, Colin and Rosie are busy, so I've got no one else to hang out with." She glanced outside and smiled. The rain had stopped, and the sun was now out and shining. She could feel the warmpth filling her up and bringing her joy and peace, which showed on her face as she looked at him again.
" Have you seen much of Moline?"

"Not a soul?" There was something sad about a pretty girl like her not having anyone to be with. Sam thought for a moment about Moline, remembering everything as it had been the last time he'd been there.
"I've been there for food, clothing, the likes. Darn uniforms." He tugged at his tie, letting it loose as he'd no class to be to that day after the last he'd missed. "Why, was there something you wanted to see or know of?"

She smiled.
" Well, I've got some cash in my pocket. You like coffee? Coffee is always good with intelligent conversations." It was clear what the pretty girl was asking. Her expression was bright and hopeful that he would accept.

Inwardly, Sam was having a heart attack. He'd always been shy, and never thought he'd stand a chance with someone like Ella from afar, but she had made the first move and he would gladly say, "Yes, that would be great."
Sam bent down to slip his socks and shoes back on. Hammering heart though he had, he still managed to keep his hands from shaking.
"I've got some money as well, so no fussing over bills and whatnot. And if I start chattering on too much, just shut me up with a look or something. Caffeine and women do that to me."

Ella smiled and slipped her heels onto her small feet and stood.
" We can split the bill, then." She was flushing slightly, but managed to retain her composure.
" Shall we?" She asked, gesturing towards the library entrance after she secured her jacket of her shoulders.

"Yes, I'd love to buy you a coffee," he said, taking a few strides ahead of her so he couldn't catch any protest. Once at the door, though, Sam turned around and smiled at her, waiting for her to come so they could walk without a rush. She was wearing difficult heels, after all.
