it might sound rediculous but our dog Wild Mutt has for reason gotten really sick....we are spose to take him to the vet in the morning but he really has me scared with the way he is acting....if yall could throw some prayers/wishes/positive thoughts to/for him.... i would really appreciate it....

thanks yall..... i am back from the vet....they are keeping him...they are spose to do a cvc count i think is what she said to see if they can pin point exactly what it is that is wrong with him....if it is high then it might jsut be a blockage...he is bad about chewing up stuff....and if it is low then it is parvo....so they will treat for that....i dont care as long as he gets better....i was just a crying when i left.... crying

thanks yall for the prayers....my puppy is a lot better....it wasnt parvo thank goodness...seems he just had hook worms and he had gotten really dehydrated....but they gave him meds and fluids and is perky like usual....the bill wasnt that bad either....so everything worked out real good....thanks again...you guys rock...big butterfly huggles heart

That's good he's doing better and it wasn't too expensive! Jason's always afraid of the insane vet bills sometimes if we ever got a dog.

I know it sounds odd, but yay hookworms xp Glad to hear the little guy is feeling better AND that it wasn't serious or expensive. The dog I had growing up got some disease where his pancreas didn't work right, and he wasn't able to break the nutrients out of his food. My parents spend $90 a month on medicine for him for between 7 and 8 years or something like that.

Wow, that's really pricey, and for a long time! Jason's mentioned that if vet bills got really expensive, he'd rather just let the pet go, and I tried explaining that a lot of people feel like a dog is a member of a family, but he's never felt that and wouldn't put so much money into an animal. I hope I'm not making him sound insensitive. It's just a quirk of his, and I'm kind of glad he's not all into pets because I'm not ready for one either! I have a mess phobia, so kids is plenty!

yeah my dogs are my babies too...while i was preg with jake i got dolly...she was only 4 hours old and i raised her believe it or not...having to go to the vet every other day cause she was having seizures cause she was without the nutrients from her moms milk...but there was only 2 in the litter and she was the only to survive....she was litterally my first baby...lol....you get attached to them....we got wild mutt back in july...he was spose to be johns dog but john wasnt allowed to have animals where he lived....so i took him in...and he is like my 5th kidlet....i love my babies....i need to find pics to show you of the both of them...lol xd

fawN, I think a lot of it depends on the circumstances. if I know that my dog can live a long healthy life if I give it medicine, or have a surgery, I'll do it, If my pet is just going to suffer or the price is astronomical, I'll double-think putting it down.
