okay, so instead of living in the bustling(for kentucky at least) high pop town as i usually do, i am currently hanging out in Missouri with my brother(he lives on a military base, his woman is shipped out right now) because this is where we're going to have the whole christmas thing because he lives around the halfway point between me and our mother(utah, land of mormons) so i'll be out here for the Lich King release tomorrow night.
i say tomorrow night because, thanks to Walmart and its whoring-at-all-hours mentality, while everyone else will be pounding at gamestops and best buys like zombies with low personal hygiene for their collectors editions with their low rent fluff for an astronomic price, i'll slide in and out of the local walmart.
hopefully.
there probably wont be too much traffic because most people aren't stupid enough to go through the hell of getting back on post at midnight.
but, by god, i am. and my brother owes me big time so he'll ******** suffer through it as well XD

Haha, that's an easy way to get the copy early. I just ordered it online, since i have college and other stuff to be getting on with, i can wait. smile

Lol, I'm getting mine tomorrow from a 7-11.... at like noon.
seriously, no one goes to 7-11s for games, so I don't even have to preorder.

Don't expect it. The sticks are where a lot of gamers reside, more than you'd think.
My town has ~7,000 people in it. I came to Wal Mart for TBC CE 2 hrs early. There were 5 other hopefuls behind me in line about 20 mins later. After those, they didn't allow anyone else in the CE line. (section where layaway was, it's now the site2store place or whatever for online pickup.)
When I got my copy, I looked at the electronics section, there were ATLEAST 50 people there. And if you know how small Walmart electronics sections are, that is a LOT of people in one area.
I guess it helps that I also live in a college town. I'm hoping that the Best Buy offering midnight release this year will distract some people and I won't have too much Walmart competition.
But I fully expect to get my CE.

I already pre-ordered my copy of CE, the receipt is actually right in front of my monitor where I placed it nearly two months ago. For TBC the line wasn't that long for my copy (I didn't pre-order because I thought I was gonna quit, lawl). So hopefully the bigass Best Buy next to the small store I'm going to siphons off half the people.

Stores that sell early face thousands in fines since the published street date is the 13th and only the 13th. Boats and zeps to Northrend will not ship until the 13th at 12:00 AM.

I'm waiting for 7/11 to get hit with a lawsuit if they keep this up. They broke street release for Gears of War 2 as well by like... 3 or 4 days.

wotlk achieved, and downloading as we speak. Having friends at the 7-11 is good... (7 hours early bitches!)
And I don't care what anyone says... it's bloody awesome... (besides, if I hadn't gotten it then, I would have just downloaded it off of blizzes site... you can do that you know.)
But this entire omg 1 day r srs bizness stuff is kind of silly.... it's a video game... get over it... But yeah I don't care b/c OMG LK!!! I GET MAKE DK NOW!
